With all of the hype associated with the incoming president, the media love for Obama since he was introduced on the Oprah show while he was running for IL Senator; the media, Obama supporters, and the Dems all blame Bush for the economy falling among other problems real or perceived.

My CFP (Certified Financial Planner) was reviewing our portfolios last week when my wife expressed her concerns with the market downturn. Our CFP then mentioned that we have been in a "Secular Bull" for the last 8 years.
Now if that's the case, it goes back to "market cycles". If you recall, the market was swooning just before the election in 2000.
So how can we blame Bush for something that the foundations were already placed in action?

Not that Obama's job will be any easier.
But if Obama tries to repeat FDR's programs, they will only bring temporary relief before falling back to earth.



Turn on the news it's all about Obama, the euphoria is almost cult like. This reminds me of when Clinton was inaugurated but ten times the amount if not much more. Most of the Obama supporters have the ideas in their heads that Obama will do more for them than Bush did. Of course Bush is "blame" for their houses being repo-ed and losing their jobs as well....

Will Obama protect the nation from terror like Bush?
He has already stated he will close GITMO, withdrawal from the ME, and cut the size of the military. Whether he will do so or just pay "lip-service" remains to be seen.


Will Obama's policies of taxing the "wealthy" hurt or help small businesses?

Small businesses have done the majority of hiring in this country and many will fall into the $250K cut-off. What will happen to them at that point?
IMHO, you tax a small business that grosses $250K at a higher rate than what is occurring now, that means those businesses will then go into "survival mode" and lay-off workers.

Obama has stated he would look at allowing the Bush "Tax-cuts" expire in 2010. Pelosi on the other hand, wants to cut them out as soon as Obama sets foot into the oval office. Pelosi has a great chance of pulling this off since Obama "owes" her greatly for his new "job".

Speaking of Pelosi, she is once again considering going after Bush, Cheney and anyone else who was "complicit" with "War Crimes". Apparently she forgot she voted for the war.

So before we "Blame Bush" for everything, are we so sure that Bush is entirely to blame?

All I know that under Bush, I was able to save up enough money to start two businesses and we haven't been attacked by enemies on our soil.

What will Obama do?

Only time will tell.....
