Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Sunny Bush Commutes Sentences for Two Former Border Patrol Agents

Bush Commutes Sentences for Two Former Border Patrol Agents

BREAKING NEWS!!

1/19/09

Quote:
WASHINGTON – In his final acts of clemency, President George W. Bush on Monday commuted the prison sentences of two former U.S. Border Patrol agents whose convictions for shooting a Mexican drug dealer ignited fierce debate about illegal immigration.
Bush's decision to commute the sentences of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, who tried to cover up the shooting, was welcomed by both Republican and Democratic members of Congress. They had long argued that the agents were merely doing their jobs, defending the American border against criminals. They also maintained that the more than 10-year prison sentences the pair was given were too harsh.

I agree, it's about #### time.

Too bad he didn't have the balls to give them a full pardon. But a commuted sentence is better than nothing, when you're in hell.

Bush didn't pardon them!

He commuted their sentences, big difference. They are still convicted felons, they just get out of prison early.

Yup, now they can get a job in Law Enforcement.

I know shooting a drug dealer, can NOT possibly be as bad as running a prositution ring with teens. That guy has a job.
