Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

''Blacks in survey say race relations no better with Obama"

If partisan pollsters can't hide cracks, then we know the Democrats are in
trouble. The Obama-first network
CNN states:
Quote:
Ninety-six percent of African-Americans approve of how Obama is handling his presidency, according to a CNN/Essence Magazine/Opinion Research Corp. poll released Thursday.

To be clear, though, CNN acknowledges:
Quote:
The poll had a sampling error on these questions of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.

Interestingly enough, CNN doesn't clearly define or confirm what it means to be "African-American," but rest assured that their definitions favor their preferred political outcomes.
Nor does the Obama-first network tell us that it buries many of Obama's mistakes. Question: If I told Joe for months that Stevie Wonder's cat looks beautiful, and then polled Joe on Stevie Wonder's cat, guess what?
Further, CNN's three-day poll interviewed "505 African-Americans" and "501 whites," or the only two races in the U.S. And strikingly it reveals:
Quote:
During the 2008 election, 38 percent of blacks surveyed thought racial discrimination was a serious problem. In the new survey, 55 percent of blacks surveyed believed it was a serious problem, which is about the same level as it was in 2000.

By the way, CNN's headline is intentionally misleading. The African-Americans in their interviews didn't reveal that race relations are "no better with Obama" but significantly worse. (Unholy translation: race relations were better under Bush.)
I suspect the number is higher than 55 percent of "blacks" and that the pollsters purposefully ignored the so-called Latnio voting bloc because they were scared of what they'd find.
During 2008, the mainstream media lost what little respect it inherited. A segment of the population, for example, was led to believe that a vote for Obama was a vote for a heavenly post-racial America.
More, a number of voters were led to believe that a vote for McCain was a vote for racism. So, undoubtedly, some voters are dupes. In 2009, race in America is a more divisive issue, even according to CNN's handpicked races.

you are confusing the headline as referencing the 3rd question asked, the headline is referenced to the first question.

I'm unsure if you scrolled thru and read the actual data collected... but the first few questions seem relevant and easily answered. Some of the others didn't show a clear deliniation which often points to either a poorly phrased or confusing question being asked of respondents.

Again the survey is a small sampling which cannot be extrapolated into anything meaningful. did they call blacks in the watts and compton area code? or beverlyhills??? did they rely on viewers who may be predominately democratic? what education level was targeted?

asking 500 people what they think tells you what 500 people think... not what the nation or any sub-group thinks.

Further the article is very pourly written, a cue to me that even the writer didn't understand the poll questions.

I asked four friends if they thought small private and unscientific poll results could be used as a measure against the general population's thoughts.

bill, ted, and erica agree with me they can't be. julie thought they could be.

therefore 80% of americans think cnn's poll is bunk.

I also said I thought I'd have mac and cheese for dinner tonight. Julie thought I would also... but bill ted and erica think I'll wind up eating something else...

I'm eating mac and cheese... so 60% of america thought wrong.

aren't polls and numbers wonderful things...???

CNN must have taken this poll in Africa. Because unless you were born in Africa, wouldn't that mean their talking about Black-Americans.. So that would mean Black Americans are not happy with Obla-bla as they did not mention them in the poll... Or does CNN now consider Africa and America as one big country now..

Pollsters especially the slick news types can find any numbers they want,as long as it supports their view. Were I to ask my MOM,SISTER,NIECE and maybe my WIFE I could show at least 50% think I aint so ugly after all. See you can skew the numbers to lie anyway you want.Just like the Osama Bin Bama white house!!!
