Mexico/USA border volunteers?
Did anyone hear the latest from Obama? On the news yesterday, it has been reported (no links as I could not find one, someone will Baack your court with this serve) anyway, it was reported yesterday that Mr. President wants 1500 volunteers from the US National Guard down to protect our border.

Big problem here; no pay (volunteer) and no weapons!

Anyone else see a problem here? Lets move our american targets closer to the border!

the whole debate is pointless unless one is willing to address the real reasons all the walls fences guns etc... are just useless

I agree that these things are useless unless we address the perpetual problem, which is illegal aliens within the country already and those sanctuary cities that harbor them. The solution is simple really, all you have to do is cut off federal funding to those places and submit criminal charges against those who want to ignore our immigration laws (i.e. make them accountable legally; obstruction of justice or reckless disregard for the laws they are sworn to uphold or brazen failure to protect legal citizens). The well runs dry and they (illegals) go elsewhere.

But you have to plug the hole on the boat that's sinking (secure the borders) before you can bail out the water (send illegals back to country of origin), otherwise it's an exercise in futility.

Poiontless? Let's see here...my son is active duty/national guard..if they don't get the "volunteers", they will be "volunteered". I know I served my country...the ever genious Lt. comes in bright and early one morning, pulls out his ever present clipboard, and remarks..."since no one wants to offer their service free of charge, this is now an order..you will volunteer for this duty, we need to show our citizens we care about our duty...now anybody want to try that volunteer again?"

Your answer to this issue is very astute...politically...you must be practicing for running for government office...answer the question without answering the question at all...its called sitting the fence till the polls decide what our decision will be....great plan..no position at all!

Your non-answer is pointless...joining the CD club I guess!

After 3 months, most of the volunteers will be packing, Southern states will be housing more prisoners because of this.....

I'm sure CA. can afford new prisoner. LOL
