The following formulas should be used to answer the following question.
Labor force = Number of employed + number of unemployed
Unemployment Rate = Number of unemployed/labor force x 100

NOT!!! Related to 467,000 you’re using false logic. The 467k is jobs that went away not unemployed people. Your job can go away and you can be re-hired next week and never be unemployed… the lost job is still a part of the 467 that keeps getting quoted that doesn’t mean anything.

Did either of you look at the case data in the provided link?

The civilian labor force (people who can work) 16 and over is listed as:
April 154,731,000
May 155,081,000
June 154,926,000 why did the labor force go down 155,000? The number is seasonally adjusted. (convenient eh??? They don’t count people going on social security, dying, sick ect…)

Number employed (actually have a job) 16 and over:
April 141,007,000
May 140,570,000
June 140,196,000

Subtract these numbers from each other
April 154,731,000 – 141,007,000 = 13,724,000 out of work
May 155,081,000 – 140,570,000 = 14,511,000 out of work
June 154,926,000 – 140,196,000 = 14,730,000 out of work. *though it is listed as 14,729,000 by the government (rounding?)*

April 13,724,000 / 154,731,000 X 100 = 8.869 or 8.9 % unemployment rate.
May 14,511,000 / 155,081,000 X 100 = 9.357 or 9.4 % unemployment rate.
June 14,730,000 / 154,926,000 X 100 = 9.507 or 9.5 % unemployment rate.
May had a net loss of 437,000 jobs
June had a net loss of 374,000 jobs not the 467k you keep misquoting.

I have never seen someone try to prove how right they are every time they're proven wrong.......

At this point, who gives a flyin' %^&^%&????.........

People are out of work.....Obama and the libs promised to fix the economy and so far...we haven't seen any positive results from Obama......

Well unless you count his "Night Out"....the country still ran smoothly without him or Joe to screw it up for 3 hours.....

OUCH!!!! All that math is giving me a brain cramp.. Here is my mathmatical equation......Osama Bin Bama + the Presidency=0.00 Jobs for anyone!!!! Wont this add up to depression,(economical & mental??) How will all the numbers come out? answer = PAINFUL . Well at least I passed history.
