Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

But lets think about this one. The reason heath care is so expensive is, free loaders with out insurances go to the ER were every thing is much more expensive then the doctors office. Then never Pay for it. why is taking 1,000 from there tax return or making them pay a fine of 1,000 a bad idea when they don’t pay taxes to begin with.
When my children were little, and my ex had left us high, dry, and broke, I went to work.

One day, one of my kids got very, very ill. No choice but to take him to the ER.
I had no insurance, as we were barely making rent, utilities and putting food on the table, and I made "too much" to qualify for medicaid (was $50 a month over what they "allowed").

So, given that same situation, with this new health care "plan", and $1000 fine if I don't purchase, (money I wouldn't have had, to begin with), my children would have had to watch their mother get arrested, them get put into foster care, and nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, I could have done.

That hospital bill? Still paying on it, little by little, 17 years later.
Your blanket statement about "free-loaders" who "don't pay taxes to begin with", may not apply to everyone, everywhere, who can not afford to pay the high premiums of health insurance at one point or another in their lives.

And to fine them $1000 of money they probably don't have is, IMHO, absurd.

These are not easy decisions obviously I was not talking about you. I do understand what you mean that good people will get caught up in this.

I know I family from my church the husband got laid off he was the main bread winner They were getting unemployment and getting food stamps and medical. Then the Obama plan comes out and he would get 25 dollars a week more in unemployment. Now there over by 25.00 and lost the food stamps and medical. The church is helping them out as much as possible.

My nice is a signal mom with no help from the dead beat dad she works 2 Jobs and struggles. She know someone who does not work at all and gets free everything form the state she tells me why should I bust my but when she does nothing and has a better place and eats better then me. and gets to spend time with her kids all day.

These are hard times and there are hard decisions that have to be made. What will be the best I do not know but we have to do something about all the money this government is spending and we can’t afford to give free heath care to every one. We will go broke like California.

I know how it is to not be able to afford the "affordable" insurance... currently the wife and I both work full time and still don't have enough money to make ends meet and that is with very few expenses yet we don't qualify for any type of aid and our employer does not even offer a group rate type of insurance (not that we could afford anything else to come out of our checks) if they were to try and charge me 1k for not having insurance then I'd just do like Kalifornia and send them an IOU....

Another way the Goberment could save is by making the retirement for senate/congress etc.. like all normal retirement plans... If I am not mistaking don't fed goberment officials get there salary for life along with med etc... even if they only serve 1 term ??? they should make it so at the most they get it just for an amount equal to the time they were in office......

I am not one to complain bout the goberment too much since I never vote anyways since I feel that they are gonna do what they want anyways.. if they can't get something passed they just piggy back it onto something that will definatly pass and for presidential elections it don't matter what the people think its who pays the most to the people in high places for the electorial votes...

Just my $.02 and my goberment rant is over.....

We need a system where GPs, Optometrists, Pediatricians, and Dentists can take cash again.....

No more insurance for health maintenance...
No premiums and very little paper involved.....
The doctors wouldn't have to split with the insurance companies....

The only insurance you would need is for catastrophic care and that could be reduced as well if everyone had a $5K deductible...after all....if you had cancer...that would be exceeded rather quick anyways.....

And lastly.....I have to once again bring this old sheyat up...but it's necessary......Send the illegals home.......That will save the public trough money as well......
