Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Did anyone ever stop and think maybe she just got sick to death of all the BS and decided to stay at home with her kids?

Or is it not allowed for we females to do that anymore?

Well maybe your studies covered Chicago politics in the 50 and 60. but that made me wonder why you would remember I quote verbatim form a obscure radical 60`s liberal.

Why the guessing game on were you stand. I am a independent conservative that wants to help the republican party get back to fiscal conservatism.
1. I'm interested in knowing what people are about and try to read and learn all I can. Obama had been counted as having been matriculated into the Saul Alinsky School of social(ist) change. I wanted to know about him, and read what I could find. That particular phrase was a surprise, coming from a socialist, but of course, it's out of context.

2. It's not a guessing game. My agenda is such that party politics and attack politics are useless in getting to root causes of problems and finding solutions. If I engage in that ####, I'm moved away from my larger goals. I'm often accused of being a liberal, and as often accused of being a conservative. I'm more closely attuned to Thomas Payne and Thomas Jefferson than anyone in the last couple of centuries. Call me old fashioned.

I'm an Independent American. a Capital P Patriot. My family has been in this country since around 1650, has served in the House of Representatives from the State of West Virginia, ran against, beat once and later lost to George Washington (and a greater quantity of rum) for a seat in the VA house of Burgesses, and has served in the military, with George Washington thoughout the Revolutionary War, on both sides of the Civil War, and in every conflict and semi-conflict, undeclared war, and virtually all the current and recent conflicts since before it WAS The United States. There is a fort in Florida named for an ancestor. My father was one of the army soldiers in the trenches when they tested the atom bomb in Nevada, and paid for it with his shortened life, my grandfather helped build the first nuclear power plant/breeder reactor used to create the atom bombs used to end the Second World War, and I served in the Submarine Navy during the cold war spying on the USSR.(Don't sweat it, it's no longer classified.) two of my four brothers served at the same time. I have nephews and second cousins serving right now. So I guess you could say I have a vested interest. I just don't happen to agree with all the popular opinions I see here, on EITHER side. I'm looking for solutions, not someone to BLAME. Kind of makes me a target.

From The Village Voice: A good conservative paper if ever there was one.
THE $12.5 MILLION sports complex and hockey rink that is the lasting monument to Palin's two terms as Wasilla mayor is also a monument to the kind of insider politics that dismays Americans of both parties. Six months before Palin stepped down as mayor in October 2002, the city awarded nearly a half-million-dollar contract to design the biggest project in Wasilla history to Kumin Associates. Blase Burkhart was the Kumin architect on the job—the son of Roy Burkhart, who is frequently described as a "mentor" of Palin and was head of the local Republican Party (his wife, June, who also advised Palin, is the national committeewoman). Asked if the contract was a favor, Roy Burkhart, who contributed to her campaign in the same time frame that his son got the contract, said: "I really don't know." Palin then named Blase Burkhart to a seven-member builder-selection committee that picked Howdie Inc., a mostly residential contractor owned at the time by Howard Nugent. Formally awarded the contract a couple of weeks after Palin left office, Nugent has donated $4,000 to Palin campaigns. Two competitors protested the process that led to Nugent's contract. Burkhart and Nugent had done at least one project together before the complex—and have done several since.
A list of subcontractors on the job, obtained by the Voice, includes many with Palin ties. One was Spenard Builders Supply, the state's leading supplier of wood, floor, roof, and other "pre-engineered components." In addition to being a sponsor of Todd Palin's snow-machine team that has earned tens of thousands for the Palin family, Spenard hired Sarah Palin to do a statewide television commercial in 2004. When the Palins began building a new family home off Lake Lucille in 2002—at the same time that Palin was running for lieutenant governor and in her final months as mayor—Spenard supplied the materials, according to Antoine Bricks, who works in its Wasilla office. Spenard actually filed a notice "of its right to assert a lien" on the deed for the Palin property after contracting for labor and materials for the site. Spenard's name has popped up in the trial of Senator Stevens—it worked on the house that is at the center of the VECO scandal as well.
Todd Palin told Fox News that he built the two-story, 3,450-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bath, wood house himself, with the help of contractors he described as "buddies." As mayor, Sarah Palin blocked an effort to require the filing of building permits in the wide-open city, and there is no public record of who the "buddies" were. The house was built very near the complex, on a site whose city purchase led to years of unsuccessful litigation and, now, $1.3 million in additional costs, with a law firm that's also donated to Palin collecting costly fees from the city.

Aaaaaaaand: The Daily KOS.... (know your enemy?)

In an "exclusive", [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. is reporting that Alaskan reporter, Shannyn Moore, is now saying that federal indictments in the "iceberg scandal" may soon break "concerning use of Wasilla Sport Complex building material for Palin's home..." I believe this was mentioned during the campaign and now it does appear that there was fire behind the smoke.

Okay, I've now been able to get independent information from multiple sources that all of this precedes what are said to be possible federal indictments against Palin, concerning an embezzlement scandal related to the building of Palin's house and the Wasilla Sports Complex built during her tenure as Mayor. Both structures, it is said, feature the "same windows, same wood, same products." Federal investigators have been looking into this for some time, and indictments could be imminent, according to the Alaska sources.
The BRAD BLOG has not been able to receive confirm from any federal sources on this. Our information comes from local Alaskans who follow Palin, and who have been keeping an eye on this for some time, while keeping it quiet at the request of federal investigators.

Are they right, or are they wrong? I'm just sayin'.......Knowledge is Power.

Waiting for the "rest of the story"? Sure.
Village Voice is hardly a "Conservative paper", in fact, it is barely adequate for use in the outhouse out back.
DailyKos is even less reputable.
I "googled" the information (federal indictment Palin) you gave. Guess what?
Somewhere around 112,000 matches. NONE of them were on anything more than a BLOG or BS Leftist website.
I also "googled" the phrase Blase Burkhart was the Kumin architect on the job; a total of 15 results and just like before, none of them anywhere near a main-stream media source.
What is happening is: people despise an intelligent attractive woman who can think on her feet, especially if she is a Conservative, so what they do, is the SOCK-PUPPETS poison the well with noxious LIES by posting such garbage on the internet in every forum, blog, yahoo/google group, message board and anywhere else they can so they flood the internet with this false information. STUPID people believe it must be true, because everyone is saying it.
Typical Saul Alinski tactic.
You have no credibility.

Roadkill... I hate to "moot your point" (is moot a verb? LOL), but I myself made the reference to it being a "conservative paper" IN JEST!! Fer Cryin Out Loud. Don't be dense! The Village Voice? Please! And does the phrase "know your enemy" ring any bells? I prefaced the Kos quote with it. Obviously, I recognize that it is NOT a source to be taken particularly seriously, at least not yet.

It SHOULD be obvious to you that I posted all of that KNOWING that it was to show that side of the question, and not an attempt to give it any credibility. It remains to be seen whether there's any fire where that smoke is. I'll wait for an indictment and conviction, if there ever IS one! Unlikely, but possible.

Give me some credit. I'm no sock puppet. I have no credibility? Nice personal attack....only it MISSED by a MILE. What's the second line in that quote mean? "I'm not sayin' any of this is actually true.... but here it comes." here it comes meaning, I understand that it's some "media outlets" putting the story out there.... as in.. here it comes. Critical reading, thinking, and accurate comprehension are important skills!!

There was a time when accomplishment in "public life" was respected...albeit sometimes foolishly...today there is very little to be used as an example to "those who actually EARN respect"...private or public...anyone besides me ever wonder why?

Personally I don't disagree with questions being posed to "ask questions", particularly in light of the fact that the current resident of the white house won't.

But, I suggest, STRONGLY suggest "education begins at home"...of course there is the whole "common sense gene thing" that not everyone is in posession of.

We are fighting a war...on our way of life...waged against "our way of life"...by those who seek to CONTROL "our way of life"...I like what Sarah Palin has to say in that regard, to a degree...but I would appreciate a STRONGER stance, which in listening to her is what she "plans" on doing. We'll see.

But I would "insert"...did hillary finish out her senatorial duties? Which doesn't "make it all better" just because a clinton did it...I'm just sayin'...

I was listening last night to "pundits" on fox news...after airing Sarah Palins official announcement of stepping down...the idea of a smoking gun did come up...

I'll wait and see...what I know to be important is "actions speak louder than words"...
