Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

What she is saying is: she is too busy dealing with twin 2 year olds to deal with another twin 2 year old.

Only if educated...indoctrinated insures "feelings" are "belief" and that is FACT which is all that is required for a certificate of completion and acceptance into the saul allinsky school for radicals taught by constitutional lawyers who find their "teaching document"
flawed...

He is probably done. The only reason he has to call her a idiot is that he has Been trained by the liberal media to think that way, he does not know why just like any dog or monkey that learns a new trick.

Will you knock it OFF? Jeez! What in anything I've written here tells you about my political affiliation? Can you force yourself to look beyond your OWN ideology and assumptions? How is asking questions about Palin's resignation an indication of my ideology? Why is that threatening? Is it better to support her or ANYONE without asking questions? The Germans tried that. It sucked.

I simply asked the question, Why is she stepping down? I didn't say I was for or against Palin, Republicans, or Conservatives, I didn't say I was a liberal, a Democrat, or pro-Obama. I haven't said I was a Republican or a conservative. I'm asking questions, and in previous posts, I made observations about how opinions get in the way of KNOWING and gaining knowledge.

I won't dignify ludicrous assumptions by defending myself as one thing or another. Those presumptions and the opinions that inform them are a major source of the problem in this country. It gets in the way of civil discourse and gaining valuable knowledge, let alone finding solutions. That goes for liberal as much as conservative. If one is polarized one way or another, one is ignoring too much. I don't have all the answers.

I'm an intellectually curious person with an interest in engaging in useful conversation and discourse. All the vociferous opinion and hate (frankly) on EITHER side gets in the way of that. I'm an American. That's it. An American. So are most of you. Do you WANT to have two countries? We tried that. It sucked.

Elite politicians are killing this country, this administration or the last several. Republican OR Democrat.

We must begin from where we are if we are to build power for change, and the power and the people are in the middle class majority.

You better HOPE that's true. We are our only hope.
Wait!! Who said that?!?

Regarding the subject:
Andrea Mitchell: Sources close to Palin say she's sick of politics.
Bill Kristol: Odd political gambit, might be a shrewd political move.
Questions remain, is there a reason that forced her out? We don't know. Yet.

OK. I listened to her address. It was fine. It was plausible. I'm not convinced.

I like Sarah Palin she has class, style and looks not to mention a good practical mind. However she was elected by the people of Alaska to serve her full term. Personally I can understand her reasoning , but can the folks that voted for her.Not being an Alaskan I have no say on that point. She might espouse to much common sense to be elected to a National office(will the libs ever allow practicality.) The liberal press will try everything to down-grade her. Oh well just my opinion!!!!

she's not sick of anything. she got a taste of the limelight and loved it, she's a beauty queen for frig's sake.

she'll spend the next couple years boning up on american history and civics, casually making the rounds of conservative media, doling out each new piece of information so all you rushpublicans can slobber about how smart she is.

i'd just like a straight answer from her re: is the earth 6 thousand or 6 billion years old? then we can all talk about how smart or practical she is.

From what she said in the video she's stepping down because she's standing on a principle and a promise. She said something about she wouldn't stand by and watch millions of Alaska's dollars get wasted. I'm not quite sure what she was referring to but it sounds like something she cannot do anything about...at least not from the Governers seat, so she stands by her promise to not stand by and watch it by stepping down and moving to a better position.

She is not out of politics (not by a long shot)...if you listen to what she says instead of injecting your own opinion you will hear it.

Actually...I think she's pissed off, and that could be a good thing for this country. If she is prepared to and willing to stand on principles (good, honest principles)...look out Oblabla.

Wait!! Who said that?!?
Always be sure you are right, then go ahead

Who said that???

A hint...the same man that addressed Congress with this speech...

Quote:
"Mr. Speaker.
"Who-Who-Whoop — Bow-Wow-Wow-Yough. I say, Mr. Speaker; I ve had a speech in soak this six months, and it has swelled me like a drowned horse; if I don’t deliver it I shall burst and smash the windows. The gentleman from Massachusetts [Mr. Everett] talks of summing up the merits of the question, but I’ll sum up my own. In one word I’m a screamer, and have got the roughest racking horse, the prettiest sister, the surest rifle and the ugliest dog in the district. I’m a leetle the savagest crittur you ever did see. My father can whip any man in Kentucky, and I can lick my father. I can outspeak any man on this floor, and give him two hours start. I can run faster, dive deeper, stay longer under, and come out drier, than any chap this side the big Swamp. I can outlook a panther and outstare a flash of lightning, tote a steamboat on my back and play at rough and tumble with a lion, and an occasional kick from a zebra.
"To sum up all in one word I’m a horse. Goliah was a pretty hard colt but I could choke him. I can take the rag off-frighten the old folks-astonish the natives-and beat the Dutch all to smash-make nothing of sleeping under a blanket of snow and don’t mind being frozen more than a rotten apple.
"Congress allows lemonade to the members and has it charged under the head of stationery-I move also that whiskey be allowed under the item of fuel. For bitters I can suck away at a noggin of aquafortis, sweetened with brimstone, stirred with a lightning rod, and skimmed with a hurricane. I’ve soaked my head and shoulders in Salt River, so much that I’m always corned. I can walk like an ox, run like a fox, swim like an eel, yell like an Indian, fight like a devil, spout like an earthquake, make love like a mad bull, and swallow a Mexican whole without choking if you butter his head and pin his ears back."

Davy Crockett...a real man, for the people...and not about to bow down before anybody, he also said this...

Quote:
"I bark at no man's bid. I will never come and go, and fetch and carry, at the whistle of the great man in the White House no matter who he is.
And this is where it sounds similar to Palin in a way (but i don't see Palin going off to fight at the Alamo like he did...she's going to fight another war, for us...I hope)...he said this, one of the last things he said to Congress....

Quote:
"I told the people of my district that I would serve them as faithfully as I had done; but if not ... you may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas
What ever happened to men like him...they can't be all gone
