Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he will continue his controversial "crime suppression operations" despite a Department of Homeland Security decision to strip him of authority to arrest suspected illegal immigrants based solely on their immigration status, the East Valley Tribune [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. .
“It’s all politics,” says Arpaio, sheriff of Maricopa County.
Arpaio will still have the power to check the immigration status of people booked by his officers, but not the authority to conduct street patrols looking for illegal immigrants.
His “crime suppression operations” are saturation patrols in designated areas where deputies would find illegal immigrants by stopping them for traffic infractions and minor violations, the paper says.
The department of Justice and other federal agencies are investigating the sheriff’s office on accusations of racial profiling during the operations, the paper says.
Arpaio said he will be able to still conduct the crime sweeps under state human smuggling laws and an obscure federal law that allows local police to arrest illegal immigrants.
A spokesman for the Phoenix office of ICE declined to comment until after pending agreements with the country are signed.

I think we know whose side she, and this Administration, are on.

Just another case of the Obama Administration acting extra-constitutionally (out-side the constraints of the Constitution)

Heard Sherriff Joe on radio this morning. He says bring it. Sherriff is the top power at county level, not the stinking Fed's. There are a few really good sherriffs in this country. This may get interesting. Joe is not afraid to pop a cap.

Real easy to spot. And the rest we locate by their spelling mistakes. I could round up 100 a day in DFW before noon every day.

Their of Spanish origin, have no SSI cards, other than the ones with (clearly) written American names on them. They also have no real ID or proof of being here legally. Their the ones who stand on the street corner, or on the parking lots of stores, car dealerships, and usually number any where from 50-100 at a time. I know I see this all the time here in Texas..They have no car insurance, car registration, license (unless forged). So ya you can tell who the illegals are, you just have to take the blinders off and follow the constitution to the letter..
