The real cost, in real dollars........So here it is.
The total number of jobs in the U.S. in 2006 was 150,600,000 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics)
Total Medicare participants 2006 -- 42 million people
Average deduction per working person
So...we do the math...using 2007 figures sorry. The big picture.... Do the math if you don't trust my figures.
We come to a annual $4300 "insurance payment" made for each recipient of Medicare, shared by our numbers of course.
Apply that same figure to a family of 4, add $2150 for your share of the Medicare payment, your boss pays half. THEN add your share of "Medicaid" bill which varies by state.
Can a family of 4 making less than $100k a year sustain this rate???? Can you afford this plan ???? How Obama intends to cut $600 billion from Medicare.
By making everyone participate in National Health Care. 18-45 year olds do not use medical care as frequently as our elderly. So the savings will be recouped (redirected) through the base price of the National plan. Why Liberals must pass Health Care NOW !!! The CBO has clearly stated, Medicare will be bankrupt within 7 years. They NEED the money to insure it does not. Cap and trade will also insure Social Security for a few more years.
If these things (Medicare & Social Security) fail.....there will be riots in the streets of Washington. Hell there may be riots, if they don't.
The ponzi scheme is falling apart. And the politicians are running scared. | Bump, AGAIN!
