Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

How is it that you and I actually agree about an issue? (This reassures me that I'm probably correct in my opinion about this).

Damn! I glanced out into the back yard and lo and behold the sun popped out from behind the clouds- and I swear it had a little smiley thing on it's face...

The “No more war” movement is “off the table” in DC according to the new report out by Patrick Martin of the World Socialist Website.
Now all that is left is to figure out how many U.S. sons and daughters will be shipped off to the killing fields of Pipelanistan.
More drones? Of course. More collateral damage? Why not. After all, these kids blew up the Twin Towers… right? RIGHT! (Oh, no, wait… I mean they “collapsed”. wink wink)
But while Obama and the Clintonistacrew were setting those silly “elected officials” straight with regard to what is best for the people of America (ie. “compromise” with the war mongering right and left), we can at least rest assured that the antiwar movement is working hard to get our young men and women out of Afghanistan and putting an end to the illegal and brutal occupation.
I mean… we CAN assume that… right?

Simple I do not believe that now matter how many more troops we send it won't do any good period.. I'm not saying I want the Taliban, and Al Qaeda in control, but if the Afgans do not start to help themselves, they will never be a independent country, and free of extremist..

Our original goal was to go in and kick out the Taliban, and get Osama Bin Laden, and the only thing we accomplished for the (short)term is remove the Taliban from power.. Sure we have weakened Al Qaeda a bit, but we still haven't gotten the person who directed the attacks on 9/11 and are planing more..

The only brutal occupation of Afghanistan was that of the Taliban, a terrorist organization of rapists and murderers. If people like rex cared at all about the people of Afghanistan, they would already know that. They would also know that the people of Afghanistan are glad to be out from under the harsh rule of the Taliban, and since it is their country and their decision to make (only because we are there), I'd say that makes their opinion the only one that matters.

The bottom line.....
Some societies/cultures do not deserve a democracy....
Viet Nam was one of them and now....Afghanistan.....

Freedom from tyranny and despotism is not given away...It must be fought for and won....Then consistently maintained... (hear that liberals?)......

These cultures are unwilling or unable to achieve what we Americans have accomplished since 233 years ago......

Very true, but after 8yrs, you would think that they would step up to the plate more, and make those decision, and do what is right for their country... We can not stay their for yrs, or centuries and make it for them.. Once we leave, it will be entirely up to them, if the Taliban stay gone for good or come back..

I wonder. Seeing how it is over here, and knowing that the first order of business in both Iraq and Afghanistan was to disarm the public so the poor little children wouldn't hurt themselves, I wonder if the majority there is capable of fighting at all.

Confession time I guess- I really couldn't care any less about the people of Afghanistan.

Correction- Our opinion as taxpayers is the only one that matters; to hell with people on the other side of the globe- let Russia and China worry about 'em...
OUT NOW!

It's taken US 233 years and we started with a "clean slate" with people who were "truly educated" to expedite OUR Supreme Law "The Constitution".

I'm not defending but pointing out a "fact". I don't have an answer, there are too many questions. But one thing for certain, "a commitment was made" and to turn our backs on that commitment is what will be remembered.

This is turning into another Viet-nam with politicians playing war "games", which is what happens when "elected REpresentatives" have a "false foundation" of omnipotent superiority.
