It will be the left. We need to turn them loose or bring them home. Bases in Germany should be shut along with a lot of others too.

I agree...either give the military the funds, equipment,etc.to get the job done, once and for all, or bring our troops HOME!!

I know I keep repeating this question over and over on various threads Judi, but I'd like to ask your opinion on exactly what "getting the job done" means.

It would seem that the further we escalate this "war" the more resentment against our country among Afghans we sow, thereby increasing indigenous support for the Taliban- who is apparently our enemy-of-the-moment. The end result of this is there are an increasing number of people over there who have become angry enough at us to begin killing Americans.

Don't make no sense...

IMHO, "getting the job done", means TRAIN and ARM the Afghani's so they can fight their OWN battles, then BRING OUR TROOPS HOME.

It doesn't matter how many troops we send to Afghanistan, it will never work.. The Russians were unsuccessful, in taking over the country. I know that is not what were doing, but trying to train the Afghans to fight for themselves, is like trying to teach monkeys, to write a short story it will never happen.. Heck once we pull out of Iraq in 11, it won't be long before it goes back to the way it was or worse.. My suggestion is to leave, and let the fight for themselves. If we do get a point on were Osama is then we will go after him...
