Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

In RK's absence perhaps you would be able to furnish a detailed list of the items (stuff) contained in the WTC (including jet fuel) which contained BTUs sufficient to support combustion at 1800 degrees and higher?

Uh huh.....

Let's make a cold chisel from tool steel.....

You cut the length you desire.....then cut the blade angle......
Grind it.....
Anneal the tool and then dip it in the cool bath......

You have a harden steel tool right?????

Now take your new tool and heat it up again for ten minutes and let it cool down through ambient temperature....

Now strike the tool with a double jack.....
I hope you're wearing gloves, a hardhat, and eye protection......

Reheating the tool rearranged the crystalline structure of the metal weakening the tool to becoming useless....

Now...let's go to the macro scale of support beams that were heat treated much like the annealing process...

Add some crazy Islamic (and I'll be politically Correct for this explanation) "Freedom Fighters".....Fully fueled Transcontinental aircraft......and two skyscrapers with flammables such as office furniture, wiring, transformers that when wiring is being burned-up...shorts occur...boom go the transformers......Add plumbing.....Yep.....those pipes do get hot....Possibly setting off the wallboard on fire.....

That plumbing by the way was copper IIRC.....copper melts at a lower heat than structure steel.....

Btw.....carpet, wallboard, ceiling tiles certainly don't require much heat to ignite.....

If you have ever built the proper camp-fire....
You know the "Tee-pee".....

All it takes is a chain reaction from the match to ignite the leaves or pine needles which then ignite the twigs...which ignite the the split logs.......
The heat intensifies to a level maintained by the fuel....
Now anyone who has ever had a camp-fire burn say for a couple of days and not let it go out....know that it could take several gallons of water to put it out.....

Not rocket science to understand......

Oh please. Mooney and WCP........what is the point? No matter what information you give them they WANT to believe in some subversive plot by their own nation because it's so much easier to think they can simply vote the enemy away than to accept that there are crazy franatics that wish to blow us off the face of the earth. Oh me oh my. Why to believe THAT might mean we're in danger or that they them lil selves are in danger.

sheesh.

The above is my opinion and repeated and annoying posts will not change it.

You may want to do a little fact checking on this RK; it could prove to be eye opening...

I did all the "fact-checking" I need to do. I just didn't source any of the "9-11 Truther" websites some of the idiots here like to source.

As I posted before (more than once):
Quote:
Jet fuel burns at 800° to 1500°F, not hot enough to melt steel (2750°F). However, experts agree that for the towers to collapse, their steel frames didn't need to melt, they just had to lose some of their structural strength — and that required exposure to much less heat. "I have never seen melted steel in a building fire," says retired New York deputy fire chief Vincent Dunn, author of The Collapse Of Burning Buildings: A Guide To Fireground Safety. "But I've seen a lot of twisted, warped, bent and sagging steel. What happens is that the steel tries to expand at both ends, but when it can no longer expand, it sags and the surrounding concrete cracks."

"Steel loses about 50 percent of its strength at 1100°F," notes senior engineer Farid Alfawak-hiri of the American Institute of Steel Construction. "And at 1800° it is probably at less than 10 percent." NIST also believes that a great deal of the spray-on fireproofing insulation was likely knocked off the steel beams that were in the path of the crashing jets, leaving the metal more vulnerable to the heat.

But jet fuel wasn't the only thing burning, notes Forman Williams, a professor of engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and one of seven structural engineers and fire experts that PM consulted. He says that while the jet fuel was the catalyst for the WTC fires, the resulting inferno was intensified by the combustible material inside the buildings, including rugs, curtains, furniture and paper. NIST reports that pockets of fire hit 1832°F.

"The jet fuel was the ignition source," Williams tells PM. "It burned for maybe 10 minutes, and [the towers] were still standing in 10 minutes. It was the rest of the stuff burning afterward that was responsible for the heat transfer that eventually brought them down."

Nana, noone on this board was there at the WTC, at the Pentagon or in that field in PA on 9/11/01 and know absolutley nothing about what happened that day. What some here believe is all speculation and a crock of sheet, brewed up because of their hatred for George Bush. I've been sitting here on the sidelines reading this #### and just shake my head. No sense getting all worked up over it. They are nobody.

ahh Hun, I'm not worked up at all. I find it interesting how hard people will work to blame their own nation so they don't have to face a true enemy.

Blaming the 9-11 attacks on our own president or our own citizens for that matter, is akin to blaming your car for a flat tire.......

I'm done.....

Thank you for your kind response; however you have failed to answer the question of what precisely was contained in those towers (including jet fuel) that had the BTU energy to support combustion at the temperature of 1800 degrees and higher?
