| I ALWAYS miss Texas. How can I explain it? It's the very feel of life when I'm inside the borders. I miss Texas with an every waking ache in my heart and a yearning for home that I simply don't have words for. It's the sky, the wind, the sunset over the red clay mountains in west Texas, and the whisper of the winds in the piney woods. It's the black dirt of central Texas and the smell of cotton. It's the deep belly laughs of old Texas men as they sit telling tall tales on weathered wooden porches of local beer halls and the delicate hands that old women hold over their mouths as they laugh quietly at those old men. It's larger than life, knowing we are......Texas. I can't explain it ......I'm sorry.
