Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

In other words it's his fault and I may yet cause physical pain. After all she's only 12 years old and has a major oil leak. Why get rid of her? *sighs*

Anyway. So I began my search for my new best friend and trusty steed knowing that I would hold true to my political beliefs that bailing out the car manufacturers was WRONG and that I needed to buy only 100% American made.

It's hard.

DARN HARD

I get to choose between a Ford F150 or a Ford Expidition. Now lucky for me I like them both but have you seen the prices?

I can get a chev truck for 15 k less currently because of incentives. It's killing me.

Someone please remind me why I'm doing this.
buy an older ford or chevy that has been totally rebuilt... its cheaper $$$ wise... tax wise registration wise... insurance wise...

and then there is that whole cool factor... which is of course priceless...

It's the deep belly laughs of old Texas men as they sit telling tall tales on weathered wooden porches of local beer halls and the delicate hands that old women hold over their mouths as they laugh quietly at those old men. It's larger than life, knowing we are......Texas.

I can't explain it ......I'm sorry.

Nana....I run through Texas quite a bit.......
I have fallen in love with the Hill Country........

That might be the compromise if I can convince my wife to move.....I love the Black Hills...but the Hill country is just as pretty......

You don't have to explain that feeling Nana. It's the way I used to feel running barefoot through the muddy fields of the Westside... the way I felt harvesting oranges on the east side... It's that warm earthy feeling of home....

Maybe you could find one that has been repo or better yet someone bought but due to job loss can't afford. I just hate buying anything brand new off the lot....depreciation is a killer.

I'm so glad other people love their home states too. *smiles big*

Now madbunny.......I've been told that........and I even believe it. My husband likes to buy used but not me. You see I just like that warranty and knowing I didn't just buy someone else's problems. I'd rather make my own problems. *nods*

I'm hard on a service dept. I'm hard on the salesman too. That's why my husband has me negotiate the sale. I'm meaner. I sit there with the checkbook an look them right in the eye while saying. No, I'm not going to pay that.
