Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

NOW The Democrats In West Virginia Get Upset About Obama's War On Coal??

These people weren't paying attention during the primary.

They’re upset that the President that so many of them supported has decided to let the EPA strangle their state’s core industry via the selective refusal of permits. Which is not surprising, given that this administration’s hatred of the coal industry was not precisely a secret, but still, they’re upset:
Quote:
West Virginia’s Democratic Gov. Joe Manchin III, who supported Mr. Obama’s candidacy, called the EPA moves part of a stealth campaign to stifle the industry.
“Right now, my belief is that they’re trying to kill off surface mining through regulation what they cannot get done through legislation,” Mr. Manchin told MetroNews Talkline, a West Virginia call-in radio program, earlier this month. In West Virginia, 23 permits are being held up, with other affected states being Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.

They should have thought about that last Nov. It's not like BO never said his policies would bankrupt the coal industry. Oh that's right, He DID say it.

There is not need to mine coal in WV. The coal industry has been destroying entire ecosystems with their "Mountain top removal" mining. It is the worst of the worst in mining processes. When they destroy these mountains and the watersheds around them it's permanent. Here in Ontario we have closed down coal fired plants and we are going to close the rest of them them by 2012. We have very inexpensive electricity and will continue to, even with the coal burners closed. You know who get polluted the most from our coal stations? NY state and Pa. We have the largest coal burner in North America, Nanacoke generating station. It's also one of the cleanest burning station in the world and we are still shutting it down. Burning coal is the worst way to make power.

if we get a couple more years of below normal temps. big brother will spend billons to devise a way to increase global warming.

Cleaner plant emissions could up demand for high sulfur coal

MOUNDSVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA A Marshall County power plant is producing cleaner emissions, and that could mean good things for the Ohio Valley coal industry.

American Electric Power announced the complete installation of two so-called scrubbers at its Kammer-Mitchell plant. With the scrubbers installed, the plant is reducing its sulfur dioxide emissions by 98 percent.

Those people are going to get the change they so badly wanted alright,i have been saying that all along but no one wanted to listen.A change from a capitalist society to a socialist one!

OH WELL,TO LATE TO ##### ABOUT IT NOW!

Have those brain surgeons in Canada figured out how to get "inexpensive" electricity from Politicians brain-farts yet?
