Any questions? see me after class.
No disrespect (not much anyway) to a former American president intended but if you have been relying on the words of G.W. Bush for your learning experiences regarding terrorism and American foreign policy then I can now begin to understand your apparent lack of understanding of our government's invasion/occupation of parts of Central Asia and the Middle East.

A shrinking minority of our population has not yet realized that they have been completely suckered by our government's phony war on terror.

1) Has there ever been any genuine PROOF that the Taliban was harboring bin-Laden or any other international terrorist?

2) Even if there WAS proof (there hasn't been), do you suppose that the Taliban is still harboring terrorists?

If the Taliban is NOT presently harboring terrorists who would do us harm IN OUR OWN COUNTRY then why are we over there fighting them?
Because we're just angry at 'em? Because we need revenge? These would seem to be a very childish and foolhardy reasons for wasting American lives and resource, wouldn't you think?

Having never been proven wrong by you, or anyone else on this forum, I'm comfortable with my knowledge level on most subjects.

You, however, have been proven wrong repeatedly, by me.

Rex, it's not a "phony" WOT, it's real.

We have terrorists in our own country right now and we all need to be vigilant and be aware of what's going on around us.

If Iraq and Afghanistan are stabilized and become western friendly then we'll have allies that we can depend on to keep watch on countries like Iran who are a threat to the world in general. It's not fake, they pose a very real danger.

WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAA So let me get this right: according to rex we now need NO proof to say that there was a conspiracy on the part of George W. Bush and other parties to launch the attacks on 9/11 but we do have to have proof (acceptable proof to rex) that the Taliban
attacked our nation and/or harbored Osama Bin Ladin? Interesting whom he chooses to crucify and whom he chooses to sanctify.

Whether you agree with the politics or not, is your personal opinion. Many others will have their personal opinions as well.

while i may agree with some of these points.. i do have an issue with the first one. Why are there photos if it wasn't a Photo Op? people in the Military generally don't run around with cameras unless they're part of the press corps. in fact.. doing so could get you tossed into Leavenworth. something about security and such...

its not like Obama announced the Air Force One photo op over NYC either.

Look, let me interject a little reason into this. The fact of the matter is that we went into A-stan to remove the ruling party at the time in 2001, THE TALIBAN, who was not only harboring Al-Quada, but was a puppet government for them. The Taliban are solely responsible for the attack on our soil on 9/11.

That is not ambigious in any way shape or form, that is the absolute truth. That you even ask the question means you are either completely idiotic, or are trying to pick a fight. The Taliban is the enemy of the US, if there ever was one.

I can promise you, sure as anything, that if we leave A-stan, within one year the Taliban will sieze control and they will again become a terrorist state. What about that do you not either understand, or agree with based on any reasonable fact?

And yes, I have been there and also Iraq, so I have some degree of understanding of what I speak.
