If everyone gets a degree, who is going to do the real work?

The Mexicans?

They are being encouraged to get degree's too.

Soon all the poor laborers will have been used up in Mexico, and Mexico will be empty.

But thats ok, because we can import everyone from the 4 corners of the earth to do our work for us while we fan ourselves and drink Manhattans and chat about the latest episode of Sex in the City.

What you are suggesting is instead of demanding higher wages from the rich, we should all just attempt to join the rich.


But that can't happen, because we can't all be rich. If everyone was rich, rich wouldn't be that different than regular because everyone has the same amount of money.

And we all can't run a society where we all sit behind a desk while no one does any meaningful work.

Try as you may, roads don't get built and rebuilt by people who study for degrees. Maybe the guy who owns the construction corporation may have a degree, but the workers who he exploits for his personal gain don't and wont, ever.

We all can't be degreed slave owners, someone's gotta be the slave in a system like that.

Why would building a road be the highest you would want to achieve? Would building roads be better suited for someone going to school?

Is building roads a career path many kids dream about?

Your stupid attitude towards workers in this Country is half the problem, we don't have to settle for ANYTHING. No one is pre-destined to be a road builder, they do it because they chose to stop there.

Now they either make a career out of road building, or they do the sensible thing and use road building as a stepping stone to do what they really want to do.

This ridiculous notion that "we need it done" so someone has to make it their lives work, is utter nonsense.

This Country has a never ending supply of people newly entering the workforce, they get the minimum wage jobs. They work hard, learn how to be a good worker and go to school. They get out of school and get a job paying above minimum wage.

And so and so on.

You need to drop this class warfare Bull and do what you need to do to get ahead.
