Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

no not looking for a fight just wonder what folks think it stands for
and just on a personal level I think it is a little more complex than platitudes of truth, justice and the American way and to tell you the truth I am not sure as a country collectively we stand for much of anything any more than to just preserve our dominant economic status in the world and are currant aristocracy
I would like to think thats not true

If you were to observe the containers unloading off the the ships....at any major US port....you would see the majority of those containers come from China......
The US is no longer the dominant economic giant it once was.....thanks to a previous POTUS who signed away our ability as nation to remain competitive while he rented out the Lincoln bedroom...to fill his library fund.....

Now....tell who is/are the American aristocracy?????

The Kennedy's come to mind...since most liberals consider them to be at par with the Windsors and the Hapsburgs.....

If you want to explore the Aristocracy in America you might want to start off with these two:

and

Al Gore's daughter just married into the Schiff family.

Why do you have a problem with those who are wealthy???????

Have you ever been hired by a poor person????........

I doubt it......

I wish people in this country would get over the class envy bull sheyat that has been spoon-fed by the liberals...who btw...are wealthy themselves.......

Pelosi doesn't look like she's ever had to slave over tables....

Harry Reid couldn't tell us the difference between a "round-point" or a "square-point" let alone a "Sharp-shooter".....

Barney Frank certainly never had to sit in morning rush hour traffic hoping like Hell he'd make it on time to "Punch in" without getting "docked" again....

Historically "it" stood for and represented the value of the individual and the strength of Independence...today it represents ignorance by the many, complacency by most and lunacy coupled with arrogance by alleged knowledgable who profess to be educated.

there is a class that has their fingers in every pot not so much as American as world wide I be a bit cynical as of late a company I used to contract with is getting bought out and as they are my competitors now I did a bit of research to see who was doing the buying and when you fallow it turns out to be a couple private investment groups which kind of puts a wall up but it turns out these to partnered groups are the same old gang from Enron,Goldman Sachs ,Saudi royal family , folks named Bush etc...and they have been buying oil companies real heavy for the last couple years names you might recognize like Kinder Morgan etc..and a bunch you don't

I have nothing against the wealthy per say as most would think I am but it just seem like we the people work our buts off when I think these folks throw dice with our lives, money and countries and it really doesn't matter who wins that dice throw or not as they are so firmly entrenched that if they lose today they will just stack the deck back in there favor and play tomorrow with some one else's money

as for the containers of the ship who makes the lions share the Chinese or the importer/middle man so covered in smoke and mirrors it is hard to tell

I don't think it matters in this global economy much anymore as they will exploit the cheap labor were ever it is sell to who needs and take there cut off the top and if that don't work we will bail them out or if a government cracks down they just buy it off or put in there own
Republican ,Democrat Capitalist or Communist it doesn't really matter to them anymore than boardwalk or park Place just a board game on a global scale

A few points to ponder about some of the garbage that has been spewed here lately.

America's manufacturing economy is $700 billion dollars larger than China's.

$1.8 trillion to $1.1 trillion annually.

Utilizing cheap labor abroad has raised the standard of living here, and the standard of living in the countries the jobs go to.

Don't let facts cloud your arguments though...

Which is only a temporary stage of laissez-faire capitalism until it marches through every country on earth at which point wages will be equalized globally when no more cheaper labor can be found.

And it's not going to equalize at the high or even low wages Americans are used to.

Then I suggest you stay away from manufacturing and do something that cannot be outsourced.
