Research??? The state tax on fuel is, by law, posted right on the face of the pump. You, being the astute businessman that you are, would surely have noticed if this posted number had changed recently.

Currently I pay $.4370 per taxable gallon to California....
The state wants to increase that rate by $.1800 per taxable gallon...

How's that for research?

And a lot have wanted to do something and can't because the environmental groups can grease the pockets of many politicians quite well. They don't care what we have to pay for fuel, they don't have to buy their own. Till they get their heads out of their rears and come out and experience what we go thru they will never have a clue. Bush tried to open up areas to drilling and they blocked him at every turn. Obama put the blocks back in place so he could push his so called green agenda. Yes it will take all the green that will still have out of our wallets.
