I beg your pardon.......... The word I used is a commonly used word that should not have taken offense. Wuss or wussy is commonly used at times to describe "girly men". I could see the point if I had posted it as "*ussy" but I didn't.

At times the moderation of this board of adults gets taken too far like as if we all are a bunch of children.

The lumper kick-back scam is another thing I'll be writing Pilosi about.

The scam never really affected me, but I know it affects you owner operators. I know what you go through. If you choose to unload your own freight at a big DC, you're often forced to wait a lot longer to get unloaded. You'll also be forced to use a sweat jack instead of a juice jack. This is, of course, your punishment for denying that dock its kick-back.

Just the other day we had a young man here who wants to be a truck driver when he grows up........The rules were put in place for a reason......and you agreed to abide by these rules when you signed on........

Luv is a good moderator and did her job........she has edited me before too. It's not a big deal, try not to make it one........

BTW, I pulled flat for 1 week and I know you do allot more work then anybody pulling a van or refer. Way too much work. I'd rather spend the companies money on a lumper and go to bed then throw chains and tarps in all kinds of weather.......and yes, I am one of those 400 pound tubs of lard........

If you have a problem with the rules please feel free to go to one of the more relaxed forums that are available to truck drivers.

Wal*Mart uses regular Wal*Mart employees. In essence you are paying Wal*Mart to unload their freight....

There is a Landstar O/O that pulls a step deck. He is on crutches with only one leg. My hat is off to him as I don't see how he does it. For sure he can't tarp.

BTW I'm getting to be a softy working for Landstar. There is plenty of non-tarp loads. Unlike when I was independent and hauling the left over freight off the boards. Back then I might tarp every load for 3 weeks straight. Now I can go a month or more without tarping. I'm 220 lbs of lard :)
And I like the mental challenge of tying down a difficult load so that nothing falls off. I've never lost any freight, and would like to keep it like that.
