Terminals is the most important thing for you to know when making a choice like this. If the tank division is farther away, then that is where you are going to have to drive to get your truck and load and to have your tank pretripped and or washed. The tank division is also much smaller, which can mean less opportunities, but also can mean more personalized attention to the driver.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but I personally haven't seen any owner ops hauling SNI tankers. Do they?

Either way...one thing to keep in mind is that if you DO get into the tanker division...you can always haul van loads when the tank runs are low. I often see the company tanker tractors hauling van trailers...so I think its a good backup to keep em running.

Im not sure if owner ops on the van boards can haul tankers however. Meaning...if you are on the tanker boards, you can haul van loads if they are running low on loads; but I don't know if van boards can haul tanker loads.

    If that makes sense, lol.

To be an O/O with them in the bulk division. But beware, its like .90 cents #### again. There is no way that you can justify being an O/O on .90. May I ask, where is the nearest terminal to you for the bulk from Schnieder?

There are many ICs pulling tankers here at SNI, but they are all paid mileage and I don't see the sense in that. If a IC is signed onto the Choice Program we are only allowed to pull dry van trailers unless there is a major screw up in customer service where the IC is needed. When it comes to a IC swapping back and forth from tanker to van if they are signed onto the mileage prgrams...I have no idea.

If you're an O/O going tanker why go to Schneider ? Any other tank carrier will pay more and probably have regional runs .
