I got it. state route 21 to T then DD then 61 since you wont touch the ramp you will be golden. I know these are not truck approved roads. and if your dodging scales like that will stop you lol.

Wisconsin has a similar setup for the new Janesville scale. WIM on the I-43 ramp and cameras at every exit from the stateline north to the scale.

    Not anything like it really.

The one that is in effect on the ramp from 55 to 67 does not even have a building around it. The pulloff they built is about a mile from the ramp and no one is around it. There is a camera there there on the ramp that takes a picture and the weight. I have no idea where it goes, because even if you are over weight, there is nothing telling you to pull off or not.

Janesville is just a standard scale like they have in Menomonee and other states.

Ummmm, Let's see, while there is no pulloff on I-43 that I know of, there's definitely scale pads and a camera on the 90WB to 43EB ramp linked to the new scale house. And the cameras are only on the NB/WB I-39/I-90 exit ramps between I-43 and the scale. Not sure if it takes pictures or if it's only a video feed, but the equipment is all there. I would say that is a very similar system... in concept and effect, with slightly different execution.

Now, you have me there. I bet it is the same. I have not been on that in over 2 years.

Just put it in this spring. Makes it more of a pain to 'miss' the scale. Not that any carhaulers I know are ever overweight, anyways! ;-)

Does it have a box standing on the side of the scale?

I go by on 39 alot, I will look and see if I can see it.

I will try and get a picture of the setup on 55 to 67. But since I want to do that, I will probably never go that way again.

I did find this link on it though

Barnhart weigh scale to close and Virtual Weigh Scale to open on Highway 67

The Southbound Interstate 55 weigh scale house at Barnhart will be closing in the Spring 2010. The new scale house will open in 2011 in Ste. Genevieve County. Missouri's first virtual weigh scale will open in March 2010 on Highway 67 near I-55.
The virtual weigh scale will feature sensors in the pavement that provide patrol officers with safety information such as truck weigh and license plate images. Officers will be able to inspect commercial vehicles at a site near Buck Creek.
Two weekend closures of Interstate 55 southbound ramp to US 61 southbound will be necessary for the installation of equipment for the virtual weigh scale. The first closure will be necessary to prepare the pavement for the new equipment. The second closure will be for the installation of the scale sensors for the weigh in motion feature of the virtual weigh scale. During the weekend closures of this ramp, traffic will be signed to exit Interstate 55 southbound at Route A and proceed down Route A to the US 61/67 connection to US 67 southbound.

I've only gone that way once, and was more worried about where the sensors themselves were...
