Its a strong engine, may have had a headgasket under warranty if it spent its life in Toronto area. PM me the serial and I can check out the history, never know, I may have worked on it.

There are many options to what you can do. If I remember correctly I sent you a PM awhile back with my contact info.........give me a call and I'll explain the differences in your options, both with a CAT uprate, a PDI uprate or what I can do for you
My preference would be one of two PDI tunes with your cooling capacity of the T2000 for the best in fuel mileage and a slight power gain above a stock CAT 550 hp uprate. -
Just talked to Kurt, think I will go with one of his when I can get out there. Thanks for talking to me!

i have a 5EK i think they are the same and its 30psi

Also run a 5EK. 28psi boost. Exhaust broke off the other day. Thought truck felt "peppier" but figured was just in my mind because of the noise. But boost gauge showed 31 psi. Dont like a loud truck, but i believe that makes a good endorsement for opening up the mufflers?

No, there are good options for turbos without swapping to the cummins turbos they are thinking of.
Excess boost doesn't do anything but make heat, a 550 is right on the money at 26-28psi. -
Much appreciated!
