and your choice for antenna is practical for 30-35% of this nations trucking cb fans ? NOT!
Your a legend, but only in your mind.
I run the best money can buy, that is still practical for my kind of trucking.(I'm not a door swinger)
I get the bonus of being able to use 8 pill power or lower wattage with my 2970DX and never change antenna's.
I have a custom 3 piece stainless mast that gets me 30' higher in a mere 20 minutes when parked.
Takes a few seconds to tune near flat at 1:3 which is perfect for
11 meter Armageddon.
I do not come on trucking CB forums to impress folks with how radio smart I am. If it were a Ham Op Forum,I'm pretty confident I could hold my own well past being the resident knuckle dragger in 11 meter Trucking CB thread's.
Best CB system to buy

no, not at all, but obviously you are assuming that or you wouldn't have posted, right
-
You don't even use a CB radio how can you inform others with that radio being used ..... 99% of CBers are smart and don't drag knuckles most learn quickly if given correct information and no you don't impress me since you have zero knowledge of anything RADIO .....
As for antennas I drive a 04 Corolla with 240,000 miles on it 2 antennas one for HF one for VHF/UHF and radios I install and remove as needed
and in 43 years of driving have well over 1,000,000 miles with no tickets .... My DAD drove for the gas company for 44 years with no tickets either and held his CDL until he died. So I do know how to drive ..... but have no need for a CDL ....
As for " Your a legend, but only in your mind " I work with people who have forgot more than i will ever know. I might know .000000001% and losing ground every day. If you read what I post all I'm doing is dispelling myths
like EXPORT and TRUCKING radios and cutting coax to 18 foot lengths ... with facts ..... -
Personally, I don't understand why so many get so bent out of shape for wanting a radio that can talk over most of the trash on ch 19 anyway. As long as the guy/gal stays on the allotted cb bands, what's the big deal? -
" As long as the guy/gal stays on the allotted cb bands, what's the big deal " No problem I agree stay on CB stay out of trouble ....
The problem is justifing illegal radios just because you feel you can get away with it. PERSONLY as long as you stay on CB or for that matter OFF 10 meters it's not my problem I have said that many times. IF exports only worked on CB with too much power not even the FCC would care -

It's not that I don't like cb i just do not have the time ....
I use CB for what it was intended for when out on the road and sometimes get into a good QSO with a trucker sometimes he is also a ham and we move to 10 or 2 meters ... but I have other band to go to too a advantage...
Basic base station here covers 1.8 - 450 mhz inc CB and 223 mhz FM. ALSO a early station from 1968 with a HE-90 cb radio I was restoring after it got damaged.
In the car a midland CB is backed up by one of several radios from 2 to 10 meters ..... Yes the CB is on when on the road truckers provide good road info ...
Heck if you ever get your ham ticket let me know we will try and hook up ..

You cant stay on "your" channel(ham topics),why should anyone else ?
We refuse to,WE wont and thats the bottom line
You will continue to wave the Ham Freedom Flag and net-cop anyone
that promotes crosswise to your religion.
Just has to be the best thing for supporting a CB Forum,Right?

Check Good!
