You know... I met one driver that said he liked driving for JB. I painted this guys drag car. Then he tried to not pay me so I took my paint job back via thinner and aircraft stripper, then gave the car back. I guess a guy like that would like driving for JB.

Ahh so many responses...I guess I will just have to take them all one at a time.
So I am unscrupulous because I mentioned we are recruiting for other companies now....or is it because Im a bit of a smart ###? I came out here with a little bit of information. I used a little bit of my smart ### personality because this board doesnt really present itself as a very serious board. Whats wrong with throwing a little bit of humor in my posts?

Of course we are looking for new ways to extend our record profits. But us recruiting for other companies that dont compete with us, has nothing to do with our drivers. We have been asks for a long time by other companies to recruit for them. Like us recruiters or not, we are the most successful recruiting dept in the industry.
Yes, the company will make money on this.....so will I.

Ahhh this is going to be a fun response.

Treat one driver right? We have more 1, 2 and 3 million mile drivers than any other company...why would they stay if they werent being treated right?

We dont have 24 hour recruitment lines.

I can always find a little time to be a smart ###.

Yep occasionally OTR drivers have to sit over the weekend. The nature of the business. However sometimes it happens with some drivers more than others. Hmmmmm do you think it could be because some drivers arent running smart?

We do listen to drivers.....we just dont listen to you.

You are free to despise "us cronies" all you want. Why would that bother me? If we are the "worst of the worst" why are we so #### successful?
You have stopped 1000s of drivers from coming over here? I havent noticed. Im still hiring plenty of drivers for JB. And our profit doesnt seem to be suffering. Ive worked for JB for many years. Probably longer than your little site has been up. Honestly I havent noticed any lack of hires. I think someone might think he has a little more power than he really does.

Are we ready to change what? Things are working great. However this is a dynamic business....it changes all the time. I see changes happening every week. If you TRULY knew a better way to run a trucking company, you would be running one. NOT WORKING FOR ONE.
You are going to block me from recruiting out here? Oh no...the horror. Guess what? I and a few other recruiters already recruit out here and have for a long time. See that little google banner at the top of your page. I own one of those recruiting websites. I get a lot of hits from this website and quite a few hires. So for that, I thank you.

I messed with the wrong people? Scary. what will I do? Really I came back out here not to argue with you (that is just a bonus) I came out here to inform you that we were recruiting for other companies. Whether you like JB or not, those companies have nothing to do with JB. We were contracted by them to find them drivers.

Am I willing to work with the drivers out here? Of course not. Im too busy working with other drivers...sorry. My busy schedule only allows me a little posting on funny message board time.

One has nothing to do with the other. We hire plenty of JB drivers...now we will find drivers for other companies that want to hire the most successful recruiting team in this business. Of course we are doing it to make more money.

What losses? I think someone needs to look at our financials.....we dont post losses, we keep setting record profits.

There really isnt a bait and switch....this is how it sometimes work. A good local job comes open and has an empty truck. Driver A wants the job and says he can come to orientation in 3 weeks.....Then Driver B wants the job and he can come to orientation in a few days...guess who gets the job? The freight doesnt wait on the driver. You have to keep the customer happy or you lose the account. You cant really tell the customer, "yeah we will haul that for you in 3 weeks when our driver is ready to come work. Just doesnt work that way.
Now...you will be happy to know that we are doing something different for many dedicated jobs now that fixes this problem. We have gone to an interview system where the recruiter just sets a driver for interview....we dont set them up for orientation until they know they have been chosen for that job. Works pretty well.

We are a huge company...people move around all the time. No our OTR fleet isnt going anywhere, Actually OTR miles are pretty high right now. No we arent changing to a mainly dedicated and intermodal company...However, all our divisions are growing big time

No the jobs are good and yes I personally am advertising. They are hard to fill. Very hard qualifications. 3 years exp in the last 3 years...that means no unemployment at all, No tickets in the last 3 years, No accidents in the last 3 years. No felonies or even misdemeaners ever ( I had to turn a driver down because he wrote a 9 dollar hot check 10 years ago) No DWI ever. Has to have hazmat and tanker. At least a high school graduate...no GED. Like I said..pretty tough to find drivers that meet those qualifications. Heck, after I ran classified ads I had over 50 people want the job. Out of those 50 only 3 qualified. Thats pretty tough.

No really, I dont come out here that much anymore. Maybe perhaps to see if my add on Google for my recruiting website is at the top of the page. But other than that, I spend my time on other driver message boards. They tend to be a little better...no offense.

The JB ship is sinking? Lol I think like I told the other person posting...you need to go look at our financials online.

I love my job. Its a tough job, but I dont get stressed out.
3 drivers a month? lol...I couldnt live off that.
Give that job to myself? I wouldnt qualify....I had a open container misdemeaner 20 years ago. Also, Im not a truck driver. And quite frankly...I couldnt afford the paycut. My wife likes to shop too much.
