Has anyone ever seen the advertisement on the website "Rich Truck Driver" ? They advertise a book titled "Driving A Truck - and be home everyday". They claim you can make $65,000-$95,000 a year driving a truck, and still be home everyday......But you have to buy the book to find out how........Either they have the inside scoop on companies that pay this kind of money or it's a scam..........I think it's a scam.

If you happen to have this book, what's it all about?

Basically it goes over everything a new driver should consider, as well as a few vets. It's what alot of people talk about here. Going OTR to start, letting someone else pay for training, stick with it for 6 months to a year, start applying to alot of LTL, local and regional haulers, get your haz mat, your doubles and triples, then work for a dedicated haul with UPS being top of the food chain, and a list of others going down from there. Altogether, pretty informative for a newbie looking for options. It's all based on his (the authors) experience as a driver.

Thanks for the information.......It doesn't sound like he has anything out of the ordinary to offer........You have to wonder about these guys who make these outrageous claims.....But they always manage to peak your curiosity.

How much do you expect to gross your first years OTR? If you do your research there some very good paying, starting OTR companies. My first years of driving, after getting in my own truck I grossed 48K.

It cracks me up to here people speculate about me or my eBook here when they could just send me an e-mail. I wrote the eBook. Outrageous Claims! LOL I really do not know how to get through to some of you people. I put pay stubs on the website. Back up everything I claim that I did and or offer on the website in the eBook. My friend Darwin summed it up the best when he told me that he even showed drivers at dinner(Petro) his paystub and they still did not believe him. One thing I can assure you is that if you think you can get into the trucking industry and do what i did as fast as I did without this info you will get what most in this industry get. No home time, 30 cents a mile, a dirty toilet, and a truck stop hooker for your radio if your lucky. Good Luck!

    Dude,

I BOUGHT your book and downloaded it so you got paid by a member of this website (me). AND, there is this ----->

"Basically it goes over everything a new driver should consider, as well as a few vets. Posted by "newbiewannadoitright", ALSO a member of this website who claims he bought your book.

So, if you are such an expert on TRUCKING and how to be a "Rich Truck Driver", how is it that you are not able to see that:

    A) You have probably discouraged thousands of potential customers from buying your "e-book" by your defensive, accusatory post and

    B) The possibility that others might have read what you wrote and found that it would not apply to them due to multiple factors including but not limited to:

    1) Where they live
2)What they want out of life
    3) ETC....

    Jeeeezzzz....

The author does sound like a mindless #######. Why would I want to give my money to you with that attitude towards others just asking questions? Really, it's not rocket science to get into trucking and make decent income. In some of the bigger cities, you can go straight into a good driving job right out of school and be home daily.

After growing up around the industry, I saw his ad and knew the book was nothing more than what you can gather on trucking forums. Good job genius.

I'm not going to lie but bypassing the dispatcher will make you lots of money. Get to know your customers on a personal level where they will start to call you verses going through a load board.

My first year I was EVER a truck driver I gross 76k in 9 months. My second year I grossed $107, 000 ..... I'm on year 6 now and I couldn't be happier with my job.
