Last week we got fuel from a brand new place and the next day while unloading (hopper bottom) there was a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust. It was a cold morning so I thought it was starting to gel up. When I left it smoked real bad but ran great. When I was driving the smoke would leave, but when it was at an idle it smoked bad. The mechanic said we had dirty injectors and he added some injector cleaner and said drive for a couple days and see what happens. The smoke did clear up (one tank of fuel from our old supplier) until this morning. It is currently running on the new fuel station fuel. I did have to add 2 gallons of coolant today. Could it be the egr cooler or blown head gasket?

Could be a muffler bearing sizing up, but without knowing what kind of engine it is its really hard to say.:biggrin_25525:

Need to know year of truck power plant mileage. Smell exhaust when smoking,"when parked" if it smells sweet you have a problem. Have system presser tested. Keep an eye on coolent

    kgeldean Thanks this.

Sorry I forgot, its a KW with a cummins isx. I just want to know if its a head gasket would it smoke all the time. We drove it for 2 days after we added the injector cleaner and the smoke was gone by the end of the first day.

Not necessarily. I've had 2 trucks with bad head gaskets and they would smoke white at start up even on a warm day, but would clear up when cylinder temps would come up. So if it would idle for 10min the smoke would disappear because the high temp would compensate for the lower compression.

Since it's an ISX I would say probably EGR cooler.
