Just wondered if anyone ever bids on loads on UShip.com, or other on line outfits.

I know that show Shipping Wars uses them. Are they for real or part of that stupid show?

It's all drama, the directors want in order for people to watch the show/s. I can't believe people really watch these shows. Lets get back to Clint Eastwood movies, The Dirty Dozen, John Wayne. movies that were fun to watch. Now we have pansy show like American Idol. What is America coming to? SAD!!!:biggrin_25513:

UShip created the show. I am sure it has brought plenty of people to the site to ship and put that pickup to work.

Go on U ship if you want to waste you time trying to outbid illegal carriers and then do it for nothing. I'll stay with the way I do it.

That was my original question. Do any of you O/O's actually go on these bidding sites for loads?

I tried bidding on a few back in 07-08 on uship and quickly learned it wasn't worth my time nor effort. I thought it might be an easy way to fill up empty space, but I'd get a response a day or two after leaving the area, or somebody would want something hauled for $100!!!

Same as Forty - when I first saw it thought it was a great idea. Then about 2-mins later was just amazed that people wasted time on this site.

It's a total waste of time, you're bidding against illegal carriers...and the rate you'll get will usually be less than $1.50/mile.
