I'd like a list of trucking companies that are providing CDL training and don't require high school diploma in order to employ person.

I found out that Swift is providing CDL course and then you can pay it off by working with them. Do you need high school diploma or "ged" to take that course and be employed by them?

My understanding is they want a remedial understanding of mathematics - not a diploma. To me, remedial implies basic algebraic ability, but I doubt this is the case here. I believe they want math computation scope of time, loads and distance - maps, weights and clocks. At the same time be aware they expect complete honesty in your advance with them. Your failure to comply will result in demise as you will ultimately be found in the truth of it all through their thorough investigation.

    Good luck.

They will ask you for it. But if you go to there website they have that info and a number for recruiters. Just call and ask any questions most will ansewer all your questions. But I'm pretty sure you do need one.

I applied at two companies, where only one asked about education - Mills Transport. Since then, it seems I got on a mailing list and a recruiter from Swift called me as did another company. Education was not in the personal survey for me, but basic math ability was. You are correct...... calling a recruiter with specific questions is best

I'd look into getting your GED, it will open more doors for you. I know up here in ND, alot of jobs require high school diploma or GED. I know that Pure Energy out of Minot was letting employees use their trucks to take the CDL test. Not sure about training though, sorry.

I have found most will hire if you show them an interest in getting your GED. They may ask you to get it within so much time?

Check around your local community or contact the local High School and ask where one can get their GED.

On your application you can then say you are in the process of getting your GED but need to work also.

    Good luck

Well there's reason I don't have diploma or ged so I need company who doesn't list it as requirement.
