It happens. Guessing you'll be going to Pharr then on to Baltimore as well, only saying that because there were eleven of us there today all going to Baltimore port.

Possibly. Ill find out once im empty. The miles would be nice though. Quick question for you though, I just started here, do you have any tips or tricks for the logs they run here? Or any other tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Have Kristi's number on speed dial. Thats the best advice I can give. XATANet is by far the worst system ive had the pleasure to use.

What all did ya pick up from Pharr that 11 trucks were hauling! Dang!

So my 4 stop wire fencing and mesh load lasted 2 full days thanks to the plant taking 6 hours to load me Monday. I got the first stop in Alice off yesterday but I didnt make the last 3 stops till this morning. Then I was sent to pick up a drill tower and take it to Fort Worth from Laredo so I can be home this weekend. Well, nobody apparently knew it was oversize so here I sit in Laredo since permits werent ordered. So now I dont suspect ill get out of the yard and headin home until around 8p once finally in FtW. I figured since it was all screwed up id just take monday off, givin me 4 days off instead of my requested 5 (wanting to be home wed-sun) but then right after that thought i got an email asking about leaving Monday morning to pick up in MS. Ugh. Ive been out 10 weeks... I need a break. Lol. But i told him Id like monday off but if theres nobody else ill run with it. I never heard a response so its still in the air.

Haha. Yeah, I plan on knowing her number by heart. This is a horrible system. Luckily I use a system on my phone so I can at least see what hours I have available at a glance.

Put your foot down mystikal, you deserve those days off. I've been delivering on the load just before I deadhead home and had them ask me to go to Canada or something and I tell them no. They'll find another driver for that load. Up to you obviously. We all just got a bunch of cat stuff going to Nigeria, half the trucks have small dump beds and the other half of us got the parts. They had a surprise safety inspection ( we all had our PPE on luckily) when we were all there so we had an impromptu safety meeting and the safety guy bought a ton of pizzas and gave us all hats. As for tips, I'll have to give that one some thought. There really is nothing for that xata system, its too basic in my opinion. Thats one of the few things I miss about swift, at least they had qualcomm.

Yeah I came from peoplenet which was super easy. And now to this heap that doesnt show or tell us anything lol.
Any thing that you guys can think of would be a huge help. Most everything I do here I have questions about since none of it was addressed by the one that did my orientation. Lol

go to change status screen, arrow down and hit log advisor, that shows you at least how long you've been on a certain status.

Tell me about. I lose 10 minutes a week trying to get off duty after I do a post trip. I came over from Qualcomm and it was super easy too. I think Tex went the cheapest route with this system.

    BTW, welcome to Lone Star.

Sitting in Carthage to deliver in Houston tomorrow. That snow storm I caught in Milwaukee and into Illinois yesterday was ridiculous. Saw one really bad accident involving 2 trucks on 55. They were both on their sides about 20-30 feet off the interstate. Looks like they'd been there a bit.

Diesel, whats your truck number? I like to meet the people from here, and we will at some point. I'm 178. AZS stole my thunder on the log advisor. Thats the only thing thats really good to know... other than that its all straight forward. Do remember, however, that every time you change your trip number to rehook your trailer to you. i always forget that. I created a 10 day log in Microsoft Excel for my hours as well since I get lost looking back on the previous 8 days with what I pick up... that was created on the advice of Kristi. The qualcomm and PeopleNet graphical interface was nice when it came to that.

If they really want me to take that MS load I will... my paycheck for the 25th is dismal so I could use the money. The lady, on the other hand, wasn't too pleased. She had a huge planned thing for my birthday over this weekend and that 4-stopper modified the plan... then not getting home until late tonight changed the plan... lol. She was a little ticked to say the least but, hey, shes dating a truck driver was my response. LOL. That didn't fly to well.

AZS, Bigdubber and DieselDog81 Thank this.
