I believe for some it's a matter of self preservation. If you park next to a truck that's already there you lessen the rist of being hit by another truck parking by half.

    Just a thought

    :3some:

It's happening to me right now. I'm at the very back of the lot 150+ yards from the showers and food with 100 empty spots between here and there and two drivers just saddled up beside me. WHY?

An abandoned parking lot is different that a walmart parking lot. Some walmart only want truck park in a certain area. Why piss off more people by being scatter hogging all the spaces.

When I do have to park at a truckstop with parking where you back up to the curb I will find a spot and nose in almost every time. I pull a 52ft spread axle so I have no overhang on the rear, and I have a long truck. So instead of hanging my hood out there as a target I nose in. I'd rather they hit my trailer than my truck. If I do have to back in I'll back to the curb, flip my flaps over the curb, and continue backing up until my front axle is at the curb. Yeah they get upset, but why should I take the chance of getting hit because Love's thinks that every truck on the road is pulling a box?

Those I can understand and don't mind. If you're going to hang out just as far either way you might as well nose in to keep your truck intact it's the ones that do have an overhang that get annoying. Half of them do it because it's too tight to back in yet don't give a crap that they're making it even tighter for everyone else.

Plenty of room to back out. Parked with the morning to mid day sun out of view with out curtains. This is somewhat of a mom n pop truck stop, its open with room for 80 trucks or so, its about half full.
