I did the exact same thing. Found a real good video and watched it a couple times. Nothing to it -

Funny this came up. Back in school Jul - Dec 2014 all the trucks had 10 speeds.
I started with this Co. last week and the first truck I get to drive with a trainer was a LWB sleeper Pete, a loaded tanker with a 13 speed.

Today with a different trainer I was in a LWB Pete day cab a loaded tanker with a 10 speed That I kept trying to shift as a 13 speed when I flipped to the high side. Took a bit to shift it like the 10 speed, had more trouble getting into gears with out grinding than I liked.
I liked the 13peed better and hope when I get my own truck it will be a 13 speed but I think the day cabs are 10 speeds.

So there's no neutral gate between gears.

As if anyone calls it a H pattern due to the physical design of a tranny, if ya just gotta win. Have it. But for me its a box pattern not a H pattern. If ypu ever get one, try shifting a H. 1 4 2 3 5 8 6 7. See how far ya get .. :)
