Had we been at a poker table when you came in and said that BS everything would have stopped, we would have looked around, then the game would have slowly started back as people accepted the fact that that was some BS.

Could be worse. My first student took out the front of the blue training truck at prime east and sheared off the auto inflation wheel hub on the trailer we were using. Prime talked with him and said no worries, you have a permit are still learning. They put on his prime record but nothing else. He's been safe ever since. Incidents like that stick with you for a long time. Keep it slow and check your mirrors all the time.

 

I'll add - if you don't know where you are going after you exit the interstate keep it slow and if you pull in to somewhere make sure the turn is actually big enough for truck AND trailer.

Stick to Interstates, U.S. Highways, and State Routes.

If only that was an option for me on the Walmart account. It made for some interesting times before I learned how to read my surroundings, let me tell ya.

 

That is why being trained on one if the Walmart accounts is really a blessing for a new driver. They see more scenarios in there 3 weeks then they would doing otr. Plus you're bumping a duck at least 4 times a night. That's a lot of good experience in a short amount of time.
