So. I left the house at 7:20ish on the way to Channelview. First as I was going past Shepherd
I get a call from one of the girls. I have a direct hot from Sumner to Heat Treat. I said I just got rolling. Am at least an hour from Sumner. If you got someone else put him on it.
Got to Sheldon road. Needed to turn right but decided to turn left. Parked behind Jack in the Box. Walked into AutoZone to browse.
They have 30wt Rotela Oil at the better part of $20 per gallon. I can get 6 gallons of Mystic 20-50 for a bit under $100. What would you do?
Got the drum. UN3082 Ethylene Glycol.
Found the place it goes. Then picked up a pallet 250# at a place that moved from where they used to be. Near IAH. Took it to Ceva Logistics.
Then got two pallets around the corner from SDV 770# and took them near I-10 off 8.
Decided to come up 59 to a shady truck stop.
    It has been deafening quiet.

Thursday's are often pick up Lobsters days.
But if they don't hit me by 5pm I'm gone.

    Vilhiem Thanks this.

Oh well now that's a pita. SNI just changed our logging parameters. Used to be that we could go 1 mile without it logging us on duty/driving.

Now, we move 125 feet and it logs us as driving. Oh, and as an added bonus? If we forget to add our pretrip in the morning to our logs and go back and edit them? Yeah...it now flags it so the dot can see that we edited it after being shown as moving. Some mornings I forget... Not like I don't do the pretrip, but I do forget to flip myself as on duty sometimes.

Ugh...yeah. I'll say it. This was the...I lost count of how many "final straws" I called... Guess it's a good thing I started looking for other carriers with the sleep apnea crap.

Anyways. Parked in Russelville, ky. The shipper took just enough time to run my 14 out but not long enough to net me detention pay.

Oh well. Dinner is ready and I'm lightly miffed about the changes... So I'll do what I always do.

    Rocks Thanks this.

Ran down by Hobby Airport to Sullair for two drums of desicant. 700#.
Then got 11 boxes of Lobsters about a mile away. Got to the restaurant as another company was delivering paper goods and wine and all kinds of other stuff. Made my job harder than usual. Then dropped the drums at Oceanex.
Then grabbed a 5# carton at QBS going to Miller Road 2 way out east. Then I came to a truck stop at Sheldon road to fill my water jugs and I just put almost a gallon in the radiator.
It's idling where it used to run all the time 180 or maybe 195. And showing no oil pressure.
When I check the oil it seems to be getting higher up the dipstick. I think an injector is leaking diesel. It acts hydrolocked sometimes too.
Life just gets better and better. .. NOT.

I asked if itv was really this slow. He said only big stuff moving. I splained about what I did to the truck and said I'd go back up by the airport if he thought I should. He said yes. I did.
I gave enough information to Drive Time to get a call. I have an appointment Tuesday at lunchtime to talk to them. I sorta plan to get a 2011 or 2012 F150. But the busiest Hot Shot company I know about was awful slow today as well.
I don't know if I can make enough to make payments. The whole thing is giving me a headache.
