I read someone say $12,000??? WHY NOT JUST COMMIT TO 1 YEAR WITH ANOTHER COMPANY, and go for free???? $12K for a truck school (noway)
That girl rocks, Chinatown, morpheus and 2 others Thank this. -

Ive found that even with paying the company back if you end your contract the cost to you is still much less than the cost of a school. I'm sure this varies though. -
Well I have looked into Swift cdl school ( go ahead and get laughing out of your system) $3900 and they have a terminal 15 minutes from my house. I know that some people aren't crazy about Swift but I have to start somewhere. The fact that I can come back to Columbus and do road training is also a plus.

Swift is good for training, except they now have driver facing cameras and monitoring devices in the truck; they can hear you talk!
Earl Henderson Trucking is good and have a guranteed minimum weekly paycheck. Provide single occupany hotel room and 3 meals a day. This company pulls Prime trailers and hauls Prime freight and blows by those slow Prime trucks.
Wil-Trans pays for CDL school and also pulls Prime trailers and hauls Prime freight and blows by those slow Prime trucks creeping down the right lane.
Dutch Maid may still have CDL training and they're based in Ohio.
CTL Transportation is good if you want tankers; they have a school in Wauseon, OH. They also provide drivers for Midwest-coast Transport.
Lots of good choices out there.Last edited: Jul 10, 2015

Wtf. Do people enjoy being indentured servants? Try your local department of labor for a grant. Oh, the trucking companies or CDL mills don't advertise that option because they need slaves to keep on delivering the grocery loads. Grant money is available, either your slave master gets it, or you get it. But it's going to be paid
