Any idea how to adjust the brake pedal switch so the brake lights come on without me slamming on the brakes? I have to push down pretty hard for them to light up.
    Thanks.

I am 99% sure the brake switch is located on firewall right below driver side wiper blade. It is an air switch that is activated by air pressure when you apply brakes air goes to that switch and sends power to lights. I

It should look something like this. I know 2000 year models are like this. Not sure when they started.

Cool. I'll look for it. Since they do work when I push hard, maybe the line has a crack in it.

Probably dirty/oil or water in the switch or it may just be going bad. You can just pick one up from International and replace it. If that is where it is on your truck. I am not sure what year they started putting them out there.
