The OP is on squire pay meaning he is fresh out of school or got his CDL from knight. You are on that pay scale for 30k miles or until your terminal manager puts you on regular. I ran 12k miles and was put on regular pay. If you do well and prove yourself they won't actually stick it to you for that long. Once I got off training pay I have been averaging 1000.00 per week take home. I am also on the reefer side and doing very well. I haven't been with them long but I have had 3 bonuses each over 1000.00 and the one I am getting this quarter will be over 1500.00. There is a lot of money to be made with Knight and I have been doing very well here.
The sliding scale is 500+ .35, 300-500 .38, 200-300 .41, <200 .44. That is starting pay. I have had two raises since getting on full pay so each of my rates are .02cpm higher than these. I have a lengthy thread documenting some of my experiences here both good and bad.OStreet, TheFriscoKid, Griffinator and 2 others Thank this. -
Thanks, I'll check out your thread. -

They did when I was in the program. They provided lunch and the motel and I was reimbursed for my fuel expense to drive my car to Olive Branch where my training was. If you were to do it I would get with your service center manager you would be dispatched out of and they would probably help you out. The individual terminals have more freedom than the "official policies" say.
Griffinator Thanks this. -
