It's a shame it can not be like the better ones. I was driving 4 days a week and still on active duty with the Navy. We had Ryder lease equipment and if something broke we got out our big book and found the nearest terminal for repairs. If they couldn't fix it right then, they scrabbled for another tractor to get me home. It only happened a few times I was there 2 years but I was never late for the morning muster. it was team driving but I liked it and it really worked out for me because I was new. I don't know, you don't make any money but nothing seems like a cheap outfit and running on penny's. If you ask me most of them are truly Professionals. Back then anyway!!!

Check penn tank. I know there all up and down the east coast. Most guys I talked to are happy as an o/o. There telling me it's profitable. I'm happy as a company man working 12hrs a day 5 days a week.

But you do not see that many O/O's hauling gasoline because of the bond they must apply. I believe it's anywhere from $1M to $2M before they can even load. Of all the gasoline loaded out of Las Vegas NV I only knew of one and he was contracted to a company.

Been a lurker on here for a while, not much of a talker lol. Question for you pros: when dropping fuel at a c- store, why would fuel come out of the stand pipes, if the underground tank wasn't full? And, why would the fuel fill up the vapor recovery on the truck too? Lol rough day.

Never seen it come out of the stand pipes, but it will come out vapor and back into truck if full, or close to full. Sounds like the overfill flapper didn't shut like it should, to keep you from overfilling the tank.

I appreciate the reply. No Loads to pull today, having to sit at home, the company i work for is starting operations here and I'm entertaining other options. Anyone working around the Charlotte racks?
