Anyways i put in an application to swift several months ago. I had separated from the military and wanted to get into a new career that would be more enjoyable than staring at a computer all day. Well swift offers .40c/m for flatbed drivers so i signed up for that program, got an awesome recruiter and everything was savvy. I had an issue and had my SS card and id stolen/lost and had to get them back (so there goes 45 days jeez) Then just this past week i got my id and SS back and went to call my recruiter, shes out of the office this week and stated to call another recruiter that she left the number of. So i call her, she tells me i have to redo my application since its been over 30 days, okay fine (my original recruiter told me this wasn't necessary a week prior) then she tells me to get 2 letters of reccomendations, (my recruiter never asked for this but did email me a form for 2 people to sign to prove my unemployment for my time after the military, though the new recruiter has never heard of it), she then asks me to send her my DD214, which im like wait, my recruiter said is was not needed as i am not using any of the veterans options they offer nor using my G.I bill due to it's going to take almost 6 months to reprocess my DD214 because my past base jacked things up and alot of out processing didn't get done. So now i have to get a DD214, when it wasn't necessary with my first recruiter this doesn't make sense. Anyone got any companies i can go get my ### into training within 10 days that isn't going to cost me more than 70$ + food? I'm broke as hell and i need to get to work..

This week is almost over, why don't you sit back and call your original recruiter Monday.Problem with this industry is no one is ever on the same page and lack of communication

The other lady was referred by my original recruiter whilst her absence. I'll give her a call it's just i wont be able to make the class starting tuesday and i am in dire need of getting into school before my money runs out, it's terrible, i live way far off in the country and nearest gas station is about 30 miles. Located in california.

I understand where you're coming from but in trucking you need to learn to have patience. You'll have to wait till the next class starts after this Tuesday.

That's from the nearest gas station, nearest town is roughly 50 miles. It sucks, 4.30$/gal out here. It's just i've been waiting to long pattyj and i finally got everything squared away and got everything i needed and now a new recruiter is telling me i need totally different things is all. I'll contact my original recruiter and talk to her about it as she clearly stated i did not need my DD214 as they do not need it for obtaining a job unless i was going through veterans program or using my GI bill.

Ya that doesn't make any since you needing your DD214.How about going to Swifts website and see if you find anything about you needing DD214.I think its garbage if that is indeed true.Guys in the armed forces and then gets out should be treated with respect and not be turned away if they don't have some form.Ray doesn't have his either.
