Who brings their wife?

Mine rides with me. Like stated before. I think you really have to get along with them well in order to not strap them to the back of the truck. Hahaha

 

My wife takes off work and comes out with me for the summer. With me right now. We are best friends and perfect road companions. No uncomfortable silent moments between us.

She doesnt like to be out here in the winter with icey roads and such. Plus she makes as much from Sept to May as I do humping the highways all year long.

If I could afford to take all winter off I would.

Sometimes in the Summer. She will ride a round or two. Total of a month a year. We enjoy it.

 

You mean you have no choice huh?

 

When my girlfriend used to visit with me at the truck stop I'd throw a wad of one dollar bills at her when she got out of the truck. Then I'd sit back and laugh at all the hooting and hollering on the cb.

 

Sounds like the old Henny Youngman joke:
My wife and I go out to dinner all the time. She goes on Mondays, I go on Thursdays.

 

Mine comes out with me, stays or maybe 6-8 months at a time goes home for a couple of months then she's back out with me.
I stay on the road 11 months of the year, and she was #####ing she never see's me. Told her come with me so she does.
All that time in a box on wheels and we never fight. We get along great together. Wouldn't have it any other way.

My wife comes along once in awhile , usually she just takes 1 of the trucks and does a run or 2 and takes 1 of our daughters or grandkids with her if she gets the urge to do a bit of trucking

 

Just curious for the drivers who have their wife and kids out with them, especially the little ones how do you manage

 

Have seen one with wife , 2 teenagers , 2 toddlers , newborn , couple of dogs , cat or 2 and some other caged varmit all clamber out of a beat up old PETERBILT
