Might have your camera and tripod ready near sunset Sunday night. In the mountain time zone might yield optimal photographing opportunity as there will still be some sunlight available to light the landscape as the red moon approaches peak for a few hours.

Be set up to look towards the east near the horizon as the full moon rises

I plan on shooting over the Telluride valley if my plans hold.

BTW shooting a full moon for proper exposure and keeping the moon sharp is not as easy as it may seem. So might practice some the night before but it does help to have some twilight to work with if you want some horizon or scenery in the image. The moon is moving quite fast so try and keep exposure time to a minimum to avoid an oval shaped blurry moon

I will if cloud cover doesn't interrupt. My biggest hangup on this outing is I don't have my 400 mm lens. I'll have to work with a 200mm lens equivalent so I'll need to be very creative to keep a subject in the foreground to add some scale

    dca Thanks this.

Yes there is computerized motorized solar gimbals that will "track" a given location over a period so you can leave the shutter open and not end up with star trails but those are way out of my league.

Those are beautiful shots. We had total cloud cover here in East Tennessee so we missed the blood moon and the lunar eclipse.
