Putting it up is the easy part.

Let them fight over the rest of it. :)

The worst thing about it for me are the ones who insist on making it miserable for everybody else because "well, it's not a happy time for everybody".

I understand that, but there is only so much of other peoples' misery I will tolerate listening to before I tell them where to stick it.

I'm a tightwad AND lazy. Artificial trees are less work, AND I can take it down when I feel like it. :D

I'm grateful for food in the icebox, a roof over my head, and the job wherein I earn the paychecks to keep the previous two things in place.

That's the only Christmas present I need. :)

Now THAT is more like it.

A fine looking old truck. The leaf springs all around aren't so bad as long as they over-rated for the truck, like what you'd get with a suspension lift. Those are absolutely brutal.

As Ms @Rocks said, its either starve or cook. The majority of truck stops contain only crap packed with sugar... poison if you will, and fast food. The "recommended diet" prescribed by the FDA (y'all know, that friendly outfit that's here ta help - da gubbermint) will kill ya slowly too. Its supposed to save us from heart disease, but instead has given us an epidemic of type II diabetes - one of the consequences of that epidemic of type II diabetes is an elevated risk of heart disease. So, yer still trustin' th' gubbermint, huh?

Pretty much anything that's prepared food contains a slug of sugar or high fructose corn syrup so that you crave it... big food corporations engineer that crap using ingredients that are worse for you in the name of replacing the evil of fat. When I was growing up, we got a teaspoon or so of sugar on our cereal in the morning, an' our mommas had a fit if she caught us into more of it. Our mommas cooked our food. Its estimated that since we went to prepared foods and fast foods, the average American shoves something like 25 to 40 teaspoons of sugar or an equivalent into their mouths every day. So its starve or cook. And if you're going to cook, y'all may as well treat yourself well.

Ever hear of the "French Paradox?" After our gubbermint came up with how we should be feeding ourselves (and by the way making billions for big food corporations) so that we'd save ourselves from the evil of fat and thus no one would croak from heart disease, it was noted that the diet of the French is everything that our gubbermint is trying to save us from. Lots of fat. Instead of dropping like flies, like our gubbermint insists that the French should be dying from, they live healthy lives with a massively lower rate of heart disease. Hmm... maybe that's why them ISIS boyz hate 'em, eh?

So y'all go ahead an' eat that gubbermint recommended high carb, low fat, fast food, packed with sugar, high fructose corn syrup an' sodium diet... it makes big bucks fer Kraft, 'n ADM, an' them boys. An' when ya get sick, the big bucks boys at big pharma have bunches o' pills fer y'all ta take that won't do diddly fer yer health, but will sock it to their bottom line.

You've got choices. Real food doesn't have an ingredient list, a government approved nutrition label, or anything added to it that you can't pronounce. It won't put you in your grave, but you will need to learn to cook. Do your research.

If you're not using C-7 bulbs, you're doing it wrong.

    I HATE those tiny ones.
