Good info it's how I do load planing too I've shown the old timers and they are in awe lol. Dont be afraid to ask your fellow drivers as we all try to help each other out plus our dispatchers are actually drivers too (soon to change)...I got thanksgiving, Christmas eve, and new years eve off so not too bad.[/QUOTE]

Jesus god dude how do you get in there with a taco truck ?? What also makes me nervous is I can't skillfully back up the truck and trailer yet so I only got one chance to get it right...

On that station you come in from the street on the left, cut between the C-store and that first pump island, drive across the front of the shop, then cut hard right in front of the taco truck, pull out onto the street, and then straight back so the back of your trailer is up against the service bay on the right. I planned all of that off of street view and it worked great. The station owner even commented that the other company who does it will come in a different way and end up having to back out onto the street and drive around the block to go in the correct way.

Being able to back up is definitely critical and I would see if your company would let you spend an hour or so behind a shopping center practicing your backing. Only advice I can give you is dont worry about what the truck is doing, focus on the dolly axle and pretend you are pushing a radio flyer wagon backwards.

Wassup fuel haulers glad to see more of my kind around...my question is this...the company I'm haulin for is not to shabby just that I have to slip seat with another driver while we both work 14 hours so you tell that the scheduling is always a mess...I've been thinking about getting me my own truck and lease it on with my company I'm with I know that's good money but here's my question if I was to get a gas trailer as well wouldn't that be even more moneyAnd could I just break odd and do my own thing completely

I did a Costco before me personally I don't like delivering there to much extra to do..but the guy who was there told me if you was to stick the tank it will shut down the pumps and they would have to busy up all that concrete to fix the problem

I really like the Costco we deliver to up in my area. We drive in, they open everything up, we don't stick the tanks, just a full load of regular and i'm in and out

Most loading terminals issue drivers a loading card. Looks just like a credit card.

You put it into a card reader at the loading rack to power it up... Kinda

Anyway no card.... No load... Usually

You could do that if your company agrees, but you wont find random loads of fuel floating around. It's also expensive. Used trailers are running around 60,000 right now, and insurance is high. You would have to have at least 5 million liability insurance. The loading facilities are also sticky about who can come in, and who can load on what account. You should know that when you load, the owner of the account is immediately billed electronically, so they don't just buy fuel in hopes of finding somebody to sell it to. You have to have a connection with somebody that's in the market
