If you are following the support thread the "restarts" were put in to keep the unit alive if it senses no code activity...

Good question. I will send the pics up to RM CS and see what they say. I have the T80 and have not seen or tested a T70 yet..

Interesting... I probably overlooked it.. The new format when I reply shows me in a different area of the thread and not the end... so I have to scroll around to see what I missed.

You probably have it in Allow All for freeways.. Prefer will send you to the correct exit.

The exits before it are coded for trucks and Allow All tends to stay to US/State routes more.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I have been having the same issues as others with my 730 since the last update. I did see post 2400. It is very frustrating that an update could have this effect on so many units. Was it tested at all? The problems it created are so obvious. I don't understand how this was ever released and it doesn't give me much faith in any update from RM from now on. Besides the extremely slow performance of my unit I also hate the way night mode was changed and I really hope that will also be fixed. Pressing any button at night now is a flash of light to the eyes. What was the point of adding that? It is a terrible change. The over all brightness of the screen also changed requiring me to turn my display down to the point where it looks muddled. RM please talk to your testers about doing a more thorough job on these updates to look for potential problems they create. This update should never have seen the light of day.

AHHHHHHH......Details. If Apple is good for ONE thing it's for choosing to break backwards compatibility at every chance. Run it in a virtual machine maybe? That's how I run mine, I run Linux so can't run the dock natively.
