Good thread here Captain, forgetting to turn heat on, forgetting glasses, seems to be a pattern. Just don't forget and leave The Hot Chick or something extreme like that.

Lost my glasses. Spent 15 minutes looking for them. I wasn't wearing them. THEY WERE IN MY HAND.
I'm getting old.Dominick253, 25(2)+2, White_Knuckle_Newbie and 1 other person Thank this. -
Hot Chick wants a Beetle; she had a bunch of fun tooling around in that rental. I want a turbo. With a manual. Hot Chick said okay on turbo but she wants the auto.

Sitting in the door at Kroger distribution, settled in for a long wait. Time to get comfortable.
Hot Chick is playing with her new lap top (HP 15 with touch screen and Windows 10). I got her a hot spot from AT&T that works pretty quickly.
I've got work to do, need to borrow her computer--catch you all later.
It be cold out there.Dominick253 Thanks this. -

Stuck in limbo waiting for the lumper snails to finish downstacking my pallets (they finished unloading some time ago. They have a bullpen where I can spend the night so that's a good thing.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Bullpen. Bull####. There was zero room for all the trailers. Bad thing is I could have just stayed parked in the staging area across from the doors and nobody would have noticed me. Had to drive to London, of course the major truck stops are full, got creative at the Sunoco and praying nobody hits me before morning. Gonna check other truck stops on the route before I shut down, maybe something less popular I can get to before I hour out.

Some fat slob bangs on my door and tells me I have to leave, can't park there. I do a round of the TA, no spaces (big surprise), so I see some space at the MacDonald's. Not in the truck lot but I'll take it. On a whim I take a walk to the truck lot and find an empty space at the far end. A beautiful, truck designated space, with nobody banging on my door in the hours telling me I have to move. There are half a dozen trucks between me and the space, though--desperate, involuntary night stalkers like myself who found themselves trapped by HOS or fatigue. The difference is I got out into the cold to see what I could see.
I thread a very slim needle getting back to the truck lot (the entrance is blocked so I have to swing around the building and back into the exit, then serpentine around all the parked trucks). I make it to the road behind the lot (marked "NO EXIT"--it's an access drive for something behind MacDonald's). Pull ahead of the access and reverse parallel into the slot. It's tight but I'm in here. Feeling a little self satisfied. But I'm going to sleep in now, since that mouth breather destroyed my sleep cycle.
G'nite.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Shower time. Then empty move to Indy yard with a quick fuel stop on the way.
