IRC

All talk in this thread, huh? Lostcauz has had his channel up and running since his post, and I'm the only other one that's joined!

Maybe this is why there is no trucking IRC channel?

 

To be honest,.. not trying to be insulting to the OP or anyone else.

I have little time and not enough interest to chat in IRC for the sole purpose to talk about,. well,.. trucking.

A quick question or post here on TTR. Come back later for my reply or response,.. and I am sufficient with that.

My hours BS'ing on IRC are long gone. I grew up on IRC.

I do wish you guys well with it.

Um...what?! I've been using IRC for 15 years, and I use it to this day...

...I have yet to ever get a malware infection through it. You're clearly doing it wrong.

And I second those saying an IRC channel for Truckers' Report would be awesome.

OMG I thought I was the only one who knew what IRC and MIRC were. I was into that in the late 90's to 2001 and drifted away from it. Traveled the country meeting people I chatted with. Very cool chatting with people in Australia, England, Denmark etc.

I just wiki'd irc and it explains that irc has had over a 60% drop off of users in recent years due to twitter and facebook.

Speaking of malware, I got hit one time back in 96 or so, this guy says 'check out this picture of my wife and kids' lol i was so naiive, he took control of my whole computer. Another friend helped me download a cleaner trick but I ended up buying a better computer after and installing the strongest antivirus stuff.

 

Was probably me. I did a lot of bad things to people in IRC. Probably why I have so much bad karma and cant win the power ball because of all the bad stuff I did. LOL
