20+ year drivers did not LET the industry get to this point.
Everything for me was a definate split with the industry 1994 NAFTA, and CDL. End of a era, a new beginning of a socialist future with drug testing etc. Then 1995 satellite communications and trip master recorders and it increasing got more difficult to do anything at all as a driver in the cab without dispatch micromanaging and agitating the dots on their video game computer screens 2000 miles away. Finally the split speeds came and neutering of the trucks in many ways electronically and emission.
Oh they try to keep American drivers. Now they bring in immigrants from overseas who usually do not have our values and will run the USA over my dead body in a few years. Our history would be lost.

Give me a break. Blaming the immigrants for coming in to work? Why are the politicians selling out our jobs overseas then? Build a wall, right? Keep the Mexicans out? With what money? They can't even fix roads and bridges in America because the government doesn't want to pay our own people to do the job. Point is, American is being sold out, and it has been for a while now. America is probably owned by China for all we know.
DSJETT, Snailexpress and Lonesome Thank this. -
Why don't you cry about America shifting all the manufacturing and other jobs overseas (like phone customer support centers located in India for example).x1Heavy, Snailexpress, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
If I'm inspected during the blitz, it will not be because I blindly rolled thru a scale with 5 inspectors waiting on a victim. -
Will never happen cause truckers today don't know what loyalty is like that other guy said you can't even get em to agree on the price of a cup of coffee

This is why this #### hole called United States can't get anything together. Country of slaves.

I'm not a fan of the government (or anyone for that matter) controlling any part of my life, but deregulation in trucking opened the door for cut throat rates and meager pay. Heck, even some O/O's that typically won't run cheap freight will snatch a $1.00/mile load to "get them home" or to "get them to an area with better rates." I'm not blaming them, it's all business and they need to do what they need to do to survive.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
