Look for a place between Mobile and Pensacola. Lots of work between those two cities and the humidity is tolerable since you are close to the Gulf.

If you want a tanker gig in Alabama, choose to live within what you consider a tolerable commuting distance to Mobile, Tuscaloosa, or Decatur. In Mobile and Tuscaloosa, you have OTR & local chemical carriers. In northern Alabama, you have pneumatic carriers.
Of course, Florida Rock is constantly running ads for gas haulers in several SouthEast Alabama communities.
Some of the jobs pay very well with excellent benefits, some....not so much. Do your research on what YOU want to do.
