I am not sure if this link will work. The story is there but I am to computer illiterate
to know how to post a link properly.

Maybe one of you guys would please hunt this up for me. There is some
interesting reading here.

Seems the local trash company known as Deffenbaugh trash was purchased by
Waste Management several years ago. Now the service seems to be getting
worse for the residents.

I tried the link and it doesn't work. I tried to fill it in manually but apparently I got
it wrong. I don't have facebook and I think maybe I need that to make these links
work. Sucks to be old and computer illiterate.......

The story was shown on our local FOX KCTV5 news last night.

I live here and drive a trash truck for a different company. The excuses that WM
are giving are not quite true. They claim there equipment is being upgraded. From
what I see coming into the landfill everyday that is a stretch at best. They claim
they are hiring new drivers but they make no mention of how many are quitting
every day.

I have met drivers who are personally knowledgeable of the WM situation.

Seems WM has made a number of changes since they took over. Such as forcing
seat belt use at all times. Even when moving a truck in the parking lot. They have
white pickups all over the area spying on their drivers. Forget a seat belt,
immediate termination.

Pretrip and Post trip include putting a tire gauge on every tire and
recording the tire pressure; twice everyday.

The driver grape vine says part of the issue is lack of mechanics. Supposedly they
have more trucks out of service than drivers to drive them.

I met one experienced driver who told me the brackets have been installed in
his truck for a camera, no actual camera yet. Didn't know if it will rear facing or not.

Cut his pay but added to his route. Now it is almost impossible to complete his
route everyday. Usually starts his day by finishing the route from yesterday before
starting on todays route.

He is doing some of his own repairs just to try and keep running. This guy has
been on his route so long the customers send him christmas cards and food
baskets every year. He tries hard to keep his route up but with so little support
from WM he is very frustrated......says he is looking for something better....
